View Full Version : Teens With Deen Club
Teens With Deen Club
To help save our youth and get them off the streets, away from the temptations of gangs, drugs, corrupt music and crime, and giving them the space and confidence to feel that Islam 'is' cool or just to learn more about Islam with likeminded individuals, ... we are starting a club to support our young struggling Ummah, insha'Allah.
If you are a teen yourself and feel like you're slipping, want to learn more in a chilled environment, and change your life around, or just wanna start practising but don't know how, please contact us with your details and interests and what time and day would be best for you.
If you are a parent concerned about losing your youth to the vices of this world, who wants to offer a good halal social solution, or can help in any way, then we'd like to hear from you.
If you are a person who can offer any help or advice to get this club started, we need all the du'a and help we can get. We are starting in South London but hope to cover other areas once things get moving. No formal date or time has been decided yet. Note that we will not tolerate unacceptable behaviour.
For more information contact: E-mail: helptheummah@ hotmail.co.uk / Tel: 07877 541 990 / 07877 395 362

yeh that tends to be a field with fewer people due to social and cultural restraints - it's definitely something women should get together to organise in their local areas - even if it is just a support group - or advice from an Aalimah - or counsellor, advisor of some sort insha'Allaah

How do you start?

How do you start?
:insha: start by forging links with local community people - maybe speak to your local imam, parents, friends, social workers, youth workers.....
if there is an initiative set up then join it by volunteering fisabilillah - (giving up time - couple of hours a week - a few days a week) - it would be far better to make one initiative work :insha: rather than creating a new one and having tonnes of groups doing the same thing or you'll end up stepping on toes and not being effective enough.
Once you've made that link and know where things stand in your community - then :insha: you can help to be part of an organisation which is taking kids off the street and steering them to a better path :insha:

Being a teen myself I think it sounds lyk a great idea!
so how can members who dont live in the UK participate? guess we have to make our own, in our own areas. this is always easy to say, hard to do :(. its not easy to get people to even show up for meetings
how can we participate in your group, will you be doing anything online?
