Assalamu Alaykum,

I personally really liked listening to one of his nasheeds, but then I read this:

Assalam-u-aliekum-wa-Rahmatullahi-wa-Barakatuh!

actually i m askin these questions on my sister behalf. she has spent 7 years in U.K. and now she is back..We have problem with such Nasheeds that contains background sounds like "haahaa",hoohoo and turutu tu etc..Muftis in Pakistan has given the Fatwa that such kind of Nasheeds should be avoided to listen.."Fatwa given by the Muftis of Jamia Ashrafia Lahore"

Question:

plz let us know whether listening to such Nasheeds that contains background voices is permissible or not? I have seen such kind of Nasheeds in Mufti says.com darsequran.com and islam-globe.com here are the links:http://www.muftisays.com/forum/viewtopic.php?topic=2457&forum=49

http://www.muftisays.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2765

http://www.islam-globe.com/Nasheeds_AhmedBukhatir.html

remember that Mufti of the two websites(Mufti says and Darsequran) are Deobandi Hanafi but they give permission for that . and the last one are also sunnis(Islam Globe)

Answer:
The sounds heard from back ground of the NAATS or poems may not be from instrument of music yet they resemble music and a common man will not be able to discriminate and thus the vice of music will be washed away from their brains, so such NAATS must be avoided please.

And Allah Ta'ala knows best.

--------------------------------------------------------

Now she is confused and according to her these Nasheeds dont sound like Music and she is used to listen such Nasheeds.

Plz read what she says" I don't understand why it is not permissible to listen to the nasheeds of Ahmed Bukhatir due to the fact that he has some pre-recorded sounds(of his own voice) he records over his solo, meaning the background hummings and wordless singing. I in my jahleeya studied Music, and i know for a fact that thats no music for one.

For two, consedering the fact that its not music, why does it become haram for me in Pakistan, where has in England (place where i used to live 2 years ago) there are quite a lot of scholars of Hanafi madhab who think that its not a problem if you listen to Ahmad Bukhatir's nasheeds. But here in Pakistan, scholars of the same Hanafi Madhab claim that you can not listen to them.

Just because i live in Pakistan, why does the ruling change for me? Does that mean if i ever go back to England it will become halal altogheter...? I know Ulama are our leaders and guiders and Masha'Allah i respect them for the advises, but this one is confusing me.

Please explain...

If the nasheeds are ever to harm me, they would harm me where ever i was.Secondly, i have been told that these nasheeds have harmful effects due to the background sounds produced by Ahmed bukhatir, or others. In my opinion, if you cut the background music and get rid of it and leave the main nasheed on its own, it would not make much difference. The fact is, his style of singing is attractive with or without background. If he sings it plainly people will like them just as much. Please clearify all these points for me and provide me with a detailed analysis...Insha'Allah. Jazakallah for taking you precious time."" But one brother(who studies under the great Aalims of Deoband and Shayk)told us that although the U.k scholars give permission for that and although both the Mufti(In Pakistan and U.K) are Hanafi but when there is difference of opinion, you should follow the Mufti of your own country coz they give Fatwa according to conditions etc. This case is related with the Topic "Taqleed".and if u follow the Muftis of your own choice then in this way their is a possibility that you follow your Nafs. But ma sister is still confused.. plz tell me

how should i make her understand????

May Allah give you Jaza for that if u can clarify this

A.

Muhtaram ,

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatoh

This topic has been researched thoroughly.

Sounds eminating from the mouth resembling that of musical instruments are not permissible. Therefore we suggest you avoid listening to these nasheeds.

When you get two different rulings, one should follow the one that is more prudent.

And Allah knows best
