Ahadith form an invaluable bridge – crossing a period of over fourteen hundred years to a time when the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) learnt at the feet of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Allah bless him and grant him peace).
This weekend intensive course gives students a rare insight into the specialised field of Ilmul Hadith, the science of the study of Hadith, touching upon critical aspects, such as the science of “Jarh wa Ta’deel” (examination of the narrators) and the classification of Hadith.
Traditional scholars often repeat the saying: “Whoever masters the teaching texts masters the disciplines”(man haqqaqa al-mutun haza al-funun). Our qualified teachers thoroughly and closely guide beginners through traditional Islamic works, (Bustan al Muhadithin and the unpublished Qawaid fi uloomul Hadith), thus enabling them to experience the beauty of this complex, yet
fascinating, science.
Having successfully completed the course, our students will be left with a greater appreciation for the wealth of knowledge we have inherited and begin to recognise the intrinsic relationship between Hadith and Fiqh.
Ultimately, in realising the eloquent and comprehensive nature of Hadith, the course aims to inspire greater affection for the Prophet (Allah bless him and grant him peace), and increase closeness to our Lord.
