As-Salaamu 'Alaykum,

I think this was the only marriage-related question[thread] missing from the marriage section.

Anyways, I wonder if there are proper weddings in Jannah and what they are like.

Actually I'd love to get my Nikah done In the Prophets mosque in Medina, that would be pretty awesome.

every Islamic wedding has a nikkah and what better place to have it then at a masjid that’s big and clean, also der will automatically be seperation of sexes.

all will pray in jamaat, the bride and groom should both be happy they got the rewards for bringing people to the masjid and reminding them that marriage shouldn’t just be marriage, but as the quran says getting married is completing half of our deen.

Nice and simple. I think however I'll stick to my local mosque. My mum will KILL ME when she finds out I'm not in to all the henna and dress nonsense!

i went to a so called 'islamic wedding' a few weeks back subhanAllah it was busted big time!

Some of the women were literally half naked, you could see their legs, buttocks and all the other bits through the thin fabrics they had on :torture:

The men wondering outside in the hall way sorting out the food etc. could see them as they walked past and you had 'sisters' filming everyone! Now imagine these women go back and show their film clips to their hubbies, brothers, dads etc. subhanAllah Even my 7 yr old daughter noticed that this wasn't right!

I did go dressed up under my hijaab with the intention to take it off whilst in there but i quickly changed my mind (don't think hubby would be happy at the thought of his friends watching the film and suddenly seeing his wife all tarted up!).

PPl left to get married men or women know that you will be held accountable for the way your partner dresses, if it is freemixing etc. so you need to be very specific on how things gotta be!

:there: Subhan Allah sister.

Aww @ your 7 year old daughter though.

My wedding and my sister's is going to be very seperate in which the men aren't going to be even allowed to peek in through the doors and everyone that me and my sister invited we've known for like more then 3 years so we know the way they dress/act act at parties so Insha Allah it'll all go well. :inlove:

this is so true, u dont know who see the films and photos after these people have taken them, now even if sisters tell me that its "girls only" i still keep covered wen there becos once i went to a "girls only" round my mate's house, we all took of our hijabs got comfy etc and then throughout the evening her bros were in and out the room! wen i asked her why they were coming in and out she said "oh its only my brothers" , well they aint mine! and what a selfish and ignorant comment to make!!! :torture:

and if anyone says, lets take a photo or film you without hijab, "dont worry we dont give them or show them to anyone ...dont believe them!!

i have seen sisters who say this, yet they are sitting there and showing me photos and films of others, and i know some of these same people in the films to be religious now i.e. brothers , but in these films, on peoples mehndhis these bros are dancing and allsorts and im sure they wouldnt want it being shown to others :(

also on the subject of divorce their are more details about this and itz conditions in sahih bukhari - both the full and summerised version. It states that the Messenger SAW ordered ibn umar to take back his wife and keep her until the prescribed iddah period was over divorcing her after each of her menses etc.
