Urgent Appeal To Defend Afghanistan
Assalaaaaaaamu Alaikoum Wa RahmatuLah ta3aala wabarakatuh

"The people will soon summon one another to attack you as people when eating invite others to share their dish." Someone asked: "Will that be because of our small numbers at that time?" The Prophet (SAWS) replied: "No, you will be numerous at that time: but you will be **** and rubbish like that carried down by a torrent, and Allah will take fear of you from the breasts of your enemy and put wahn (weakness) into your hearts." Someone asked: "What is wahn (weakness)?" He (SAWS) replied: "Love of this world and dislike of death."
[Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) on the authority of Thawbaan. Related by Abu Dawud]

"All the Muslims in the world should support their Islam and their own belief, should defend Afghanistan, should defend Muslims and should be ready for anything to make a sacrifice for Islam."

"I am not afraid of death or of losing power. I am willing to give up power and my seat, but I'm not willing to give up Islam. We shall be victorious."
[Mullah Muhammad Umar, Ameer-ul-Mumineen of Afghanistan, 14 September 2001]

"The US is pointing the finger at me but I categorically state that I have not done this. I am residing in Afghanistan. I have taken an oath of allegiance (to Taliban leader Mullah Mohammad Omar) which does not allow me to do such things from Afghanistan."
[Usama bin Ladin, 16 September 2001]

"Our response must be sweeping, sustained and effective. We have much do to, and much to ask of the American people. You will be asked for your patience; for, the conflict will not be short. You will be asked for resolve; for, the conflict will not be easy. You will be asked for your strength, because the course to victory may be long."
[President George W. Bush, 15 September 2001]

"I join the cause for Muslims to be united in order to deter the United States from launching war against Muslims in Afghanistan. It is impossible for Muslims to stand handcuffed and blindfolded while other Muslims, their brothers, are being attacked."
[Hamas Official, Abdul-Aziz Al-Rantissi, 14 September 2001]

"In the battle before this one, we saw 'fly-people'. They were five metres high and were flying at us from the sky, attacking us with swords. We didn't know who these people were or how to fight them."
[Captured Serb Prisoner-of-War at Mujahideen Base Camp, Zavidovic, North Bosnia, 14 September 1995]

Selected Quotes from Mullah Muhammad Umar, Ameer-ul-Mumineen of Afghanistan

"If America is now pointing fingers at us, it will be the third imperialistic attack on our country. During the British and Russian invasions of years past, there was no Osama bin Laden or Taliban, so don't blame Osama. I swear by Allah that if we hand over Osama, even then the Americans will look for excuses to attack."

"Each Muslim should be ready for a jihad against this and be ready for his religion if there is a need for him to sacrifice himself for Islam and his belief, and make a sacrifice for the symbol of belief in Islam."

"If they don't do this, then they don't do it. It depends on everybody and it is everybody's own business. But they should defend their history and their Islam and their belief."

"Whether America will launch cruise missiles or drop bombs or create aggression or whatever it does is ahead of us. We cannot save our skins by cowardice or in any other way."

"If they do this or have the will (to do this) or if God has this will, then it will happen. We cannot save our skins from this."

"You should know that this is not only the issue of Osama, it is opposition to Islam."

"Be ready for jihad."

"Each Muslim should think deeply and defend Islam and the Koran. Almighty God is kind and will give victory to these people. If you die for your belief it is a great victory, or if nothing happens it is also a great victory."

"The greatness of the flag of Islam is that, if everything is finished, the flag and the symbol of belief in Islam will remain high. If you destroy the flag, it means you agree with things which are what they (enemies) want. By this you destroy the zeal and name of Islam and cover it with dirt.''

"Don't be cowards! I am ready for sacrifice. I don't hold my power dear to me. The people you see in other countries are afraid. What is their reason for fear? Every Muslim must hold steadfast in Islam and courage."

"Whoever turns from Islam and courage watches his courage turn to dust. Every Muslim should be ready for Jihad and take strength from their faith in Islam."

Other Quotes

"Here in Afghanistan there are real Muslims and there is real Islam, and the real voice of religion is raised. They regard this as a danger signal and pay attention to this danger signal."

"If a country or group violates our country, we will not forget our revenge."
[Taliban spokesman Abdul Hai Muttmain said in telephone interview with The Associated Press]

[Mamoun Hudaibi, Spokesman for Muslim Brotherhood, Egypt, 14 September 2001]

imagine afghanistan winning in america, and then marching to the shores of america to finish the job, the UN would have a heart attack

this war on iraq is naked agression, using terrorism as an excuse

no one likes saddam, but sometimes the medicine can be worse than the illness

North Korea is next though any military action would be disastrous for the US as North Korea possess a nuclear arsenal.
