This night, my friend

As the blazing sun sinks, enters upon us
A night like any other
As the day melts with the celestial star, returns to us
This night like any other

As the sweeping cover of glittering twighlight falls
Wrapping the Earth in an ebony blanket as isha calls
I ask for you to raise your hands and pray for me
As I will for you
And in the coolness of your heart to forgive me
When offense fell through

Another day drawn to a close, bringing us ever nearer to the Final repose
Alas an end we cannot easily compose
Preparing our souls to save for that which they cannot ignore
To pay the price for all that they have longed for
Fighting the woeful whispering which continually plagues us
Struggle against the evil, let it not become contagious

We anticipate and never in any prayer do we lose sight
Of that desire we hold so dear to reunite
In gardens under which rivers flow to dwell therein eternally
Where we long to reside so blissfully

Our psyche's so complez and unique, they wind, twisting and turning at all times do they wander
Yet on this night like any other
We again share the glowing crescent and stars, scattered like gleaming jewels on a velvet canvas displaying their slendour
On a night like any other

Lethargy seeps through our limbs
Thoughts disentegrate as sleeps raging battle wins
Our eyes close and breath deepens
This night again souls release and soar through the heavens

Behold
Why do our journeys this night differ
Where do you roam, come back hither
Have we not shared everything, in such synchronicity our souls feel interwined
What now changes for I cannot sense the one with whom I have pined

Meandering in, a new chapter it seems
My souls longing to be worthy and discover that joy which has been kept hidden from it, is heightened to unknown extremes
A journey, separate and just my own, is underway
For what the soul has always yearned and for what I have prayed everyday
A terror renewed of punishments so severe
Wherein the pain lessens not, nor the fear

Soaring, soaring
Yearning
Ceasing

Of the worldly pleasures, we share no more
This night like what other
Anticipation of another dawn halts, I breathe no more
This night like no other
