wow.. I didnt know this fact:
"Another incident which took place during the Conquest was that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) permitted Mut'ah marriages with women, but he declared them unlawful before leaving Makkah, as confirmed in 'Saheeh Muslim', on the authority ofSabrah Al-Juhani, who said, 'I accompanied the Messegnger of Allah (pbuh) during the conquest of Makkah and we stayed for fifteen nights, e.e. the days and nights totalled thirty, and the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) permitted us to contract Mut'ah (temporary) marriages with women...' In another narration, the Prophet said: 'Oh, people! I had permitted you to contract temporary marriage with women, but Allah has forbidden it (now) until the Day of Ressurection. So if anyone has (a woman with this type of marriage contract), he hsould let her off, and do not take back anything (of the dowry) you have given them.'"
