Assalamu aleikum brothers and sisters...

I came across a brother who tells me that there is something strange happening to him every night this Ramadan...He told me that he goes to sleep and when its 4.20 AM (time to wake up for Sahar), then there is a whisper of his name on his right ear and he wakes up...

He told me that he does not need an alarm clock to wake up because at that same time 4.20 AM, there is a whisper that wakes him up... :confused:

The first time he told me, I was amazed and petrified... Could this be angels/ jinns???

What are your thoughts?

Its called the human body alarm. If you make a firm intention of getting up for 6 before you sleep you are guaranteed to wake up 5 to 6.

Insha allah... thanks for the information... I have been talking to the Imam at our local mosque and he says it could be jinn... He asked me if the guy was sleeping with impurity as in mulk.... I said, I dont know.. may be he is... but cant happen every night...

Whats the big deal- if i set my alarm clock for something- fajr, an appointment etc.. i am guarunteed to wake up exactly one minute before it goes off! IM not kidding- it happens to me alot. when i was back home on holiday..(originated country), whenever i used to recite the quran out load...this gecko (lizard) used to appear from no where and use to make weird clicking noises and used to stick his tongue out, when i stopped reading, he stopped doing the stuff he was doin as well and went away...this happened for 2 months straight untill i came back to planet England again...

hmmmm.....i have a feeling it was a jinn cuz they can take form of animals-includin green ugly lizards that stick their tongues out and make clickin noises whenever they hear the quran bein recited....:S

Did your dad ask anyone about why it happened? Its a good thing if it happens to me cos I am a lazy arse man to wake up early in the morning... but then again, if it really does happen to me, then I would be freaked out as well

a couple of months back my younger brother went to pray fajr salaah at the local masjid... cause of the chill they usally shut the dorr when performing salaah, once the salaah was finished people got up to leave together as my younger brother approached the door which was shut it suddenly flung open almost as though someone before him had pushed it open to leave.. but he couldnt see anyone...lol the kid was so startled subhan'Allah our men desert the masjid while they pray at home, i guess the rows are filled by other beings

was fast asleep and i was dreaming of a woman, no idea who anyways she started laughing in my dream... i then awoke...as soon as i awoke i looked at a chair in my bedroom and it seemed to me this woman was sat there for a brief moment... and then 2 seconds later my alarm clock went off for sehri time...

i have been awoken to, on various occasions at approx fajr time by a loud knocking, nuthing else just a really loud knocking

happned about 3 or 4 times now...and always been fajr time..

Each person has his own alarm clock in the head. Sometimes you say you want to wake up at this exact time and and subahanna Allah you do.

I think it could be an angel or good jinn waking your friend up. I doubt shaytan could do it because during ramadan he's in chains and also, shaytan would avoid trying to wake people for fajr and tries to stop people from doing good deeds, so inshallah whoever is whispering his name is someone good- nothing to be afraid of inshallah it seems strange at first but I actually think it's a good thing.

Subhanallah thats scary.... get the house you are living in checked out... I think there might be something in it... Was she a muslim woman? If u are married, then it could be your wife thats haunting you... but then again, it could also be a jinn....

Recently i was reading surah kaaf, i think it was the same night as the planetery alignment which i read about in the papers.....(it was towards the end of Febuary 2007)

anyways whilst reading i was overcome by a sense of perception that was frightening,

sumthign else happned also... i felt all my senses had heightened, my sense of smell. touch. sight. sound, everything kinda changed, and this is serious so no daft comments pleaSE....i felt like i could feel the presence or presences of sumthing, this really freaked me out, and all i did was recite surah falaq and aytul kursi, with allah as my witness i actually felt the power of the surat, i felt like whatver it was this presence dispersed/faded, at the same time my sense of smell changed sumewhat....i cud smell diff things, and hear diff things

the feelings recided after sum time after a day or so....its come bk once more the same feeling, was last week, i was on the road driving home, and it overcame me again, i felt petrified, started praying surah falaq and aytul kursi immediatley, rushed home, did wudhu , and prayed my salat

was the presence good or evil im niot sure, but i was petrified....i felt like i cud see things beyond normal comrehension and my thinking changed also... i seemed to have a infatution with the colour green also

I felt like i cud feel the presence of demons, and the inner demons inside a person, my sense of smell told me that sumthing was not right, i didnt want to be in the presence of any women and i was also constantly saying the adhan

i felt like whatever it was was trying to mock me, and make me feel weak, and was trying to find a weak point in my faith, so whatever it was could get ahold of me[/font]

i saw the evil in a persons eyes

i smelt the evil

closed my eyes and all i cud feel was numerous presences coming and going all around me, but due to the fact i was constantly reciting kul falaq and aytul jursi and the adhan, they cud not come near me.
this lasted for one whole night and then dispersed. left me feeling bewildered
dunno what happned but it scared the daylights out of me....maybe i was awakened whilst ready surah kaaf

had numerous strage dreams too of shich sum have come true.....

Brother, i have heard such stories about people. I am concerned about your situation... It could be jinn or if you had enemies, they might be responsible (allahu a'lam)....

brother, do you remember everything when it happens to you? Is it just the changes in sensations that you feel or is there more?

Do you feel that you just pass out and then when you wake up, u are completely different, in a completely different situation?

insha allah, may allah make it easier for you? I have heard a lot of such stories. At this stage, I dont know for sure about what you are actually going through...

i dont pass out or anything....jus my senses changed all of a sudden, my sight, hearing, and smell....they seems to be heightened....

I can remember a situation when it happened to me last year, after I played cricket over the whole weekend and in the evening, I could see that my senses were different. Everything slowed down and i felt like I was in a whole new world. But having said that, your situation may be completely different.

Which country are you in? Where I come from, there is a Maulavi who might be able to tell you something about your experiences. My mom once had fears for a lot of things for about a month or two. She is not someone who would be afraid of anything but my dad and I were really scared of her fears. no i dont work too hard, i have an easy job.....

and after the incident happned i went to see a alim, who made me close me close my eyes, gave me sum papers to hold and then prayed sumthing in my ear, he then said i shudnt worry ias i am under no influences..

all the above happned to me as i was reading surah kaaf, i think the night b4 the planetery alignement in febuary 2007

i finshed reading surah kaaf then i got up tp pray salah, as i was reading salah it was then sumthing happned, i felt as though qiyamat was upon us, i cud feel the earth vibrating and i sensed big holes/craters were opening up in the world outside....


anyways as soon as i finsihed reading my salah it was then that i felt the presences, it freaked me out, i just recited al falaq and aytul kursi and gave the azaan....as i felt all the above were protecting me, and the presences cud not come near me or harm me..

god knows what happned to me... but it left me with side effects things i can see now is wierd..

ok since we talking about freaky stuff heres sumthing i'd like some light on.

there are times when im trying to go to sleep that i feel a kind of a pressure on me. im awake and know whos lying next to me, but despite using all my strength i cant move or open my eyes.

It a fear feeling but most of the time i have to let it run its course- few mins. most times i fight it.

i cant remember at what age it started, but it seems in ramadhan theres a stronger more frequent occurance. ive had it when ive been in complete wudu, after reading fajr prayer n when then going back to sleep. but ive also had it randomly. sometimes i get really sleepy and tired and can feel it coming on before ive gone to sleep so know that its gonna be hard to actually get to sleep.....hmmm hope all that makes sense.

I was told that if you say the Surah Al Iklas three or four times before you go to bed and ask for the angels to wake you up for Fajr, the angels wake you up.

but what happened to this brother has also happened to me, because one time I was really angry at my self because I keot going to sleep and not praying Fajr, so one night I made the intention to wake up and I kept saying i have to wake up. Then when Fajr time came and my alaram went off, i dont the usuall and turn it off :embar: and then I started to drift off but then all of a sudden it was like some thing happened and I jumped oput of bed like it was wet.

Still dont know what that was but it got me up :S

ok since we talking about freaky stuff heres sumthing i'd like some light on.

there are times when im trying to go to sleep that i feel a kind of a pressure on me. im awake and know whos lying next to me, but despite using all my strength i cant move or open my eyes.

It a fear feeling but most of the time i have to let it run its course- few mins. most times i fight it.

i cant remember at what age it started, but it seems in ramadhan theres a stronger more frequent occurance. ive had it when ive been in complete wudu, after reading fajr prayer n when then going back to sleep. but ive also had it randomly. sometimes i get really sleepy and tired and can feel it coming on before ive gone to sleep so know that its gonna be hard to actually get to sleep.....hmmm hope all that makes sense.

As salamu aleikum...

I can answer this for you easily... just to make it clear, you can see everything around you but you just cant move as you feel that there is something holding you...

this occurs for 2 reasons...

1. due to your sleeping with impurities on you... i.e. mulk, shaythaan thoughts etc

2. When your body is tired, this would happen. I think this might be brain's way of letting your body relax and going on power saving by allowing access only to eyes..(I aint no doctor)

I am telling you this from experience of this happening to a friend... Normally, this is nothing to do with spirits or anything but its logical... when you are impure, then shaithaan has easier access to you... which is why we are always asked to keep ourselves clean... so insha allah, try it out.

In that case, I will put this issue down in my diary... I promised another bro for an issue he had... give me around 5 weeks. I should be able to reply to you with a good answer to whats happening... I think its all Shaithaan...
