Aslamulikum Brothers and Sisters,

As Muslims, we face many problems today that are affecting the Ummah as a whole. In this world of complications and accusations, we are confronted with difficulties that leave us with not many solutions. This is due to a lack of understanding between Muslims nations more then between the Ummah and other states. All of us have many questions regarding Wars, Economy, Politics and Philosophies that contradict with our beliefs and we do not know how to live under such circumstances while following the law of Allah SWT. I can go on forever, so let me cut the introduction short and get to the point.

The entire purpose of this project is to outline certain objectives in theory that will need to be addressed regarding return of a United Ummah, which follows strict Islamic Laws and leads the Muslim world according to the Quran. We have many intellects among us today, even on this forum, who can help each other understand the importance of the Khalifa and the return of the Muslim world as one entity with no borders. So, lets begin.

First, we will start by addressing the basics of a government and as we progress, Inshallah we will move onto more advance subjects regarding various aspects of a Islamic government that is most suitable for the 21st century Muslim. These discussions will take place within the laws of the Quran and Hadith, so all Muslims can be included in this process.

We can start by discussing the most suitable Political ideology for the Ummah. We will be addressing obvious issues and then put them down in writing so it starts to look like a plan rather then bunch of ranting. So, I will start by hearing some suggestions from brothers and sisters before providing my opinion and a full post on what I believe the political system should look like. Hopefully brothers and sisters can find some time out of their daily lives to address these issues with me. Thank You

Allah Hafiz

Well, its very simple and easy to see, if one can lead the Ummah or not. All you have to do is compare a person with necessary experience to Prophet Muhammad PBUH, and the one that had the closest traits to the Prophet, will usually will be the most suitable to run the Ummah. Since, our Prophet was a Politician, Commander, Business Man and almost everything a man can think of within his life time so they will be our guidance, thats how people will make the choice. I am not talking about a dictator, but a person that is picked by the people because of his traits, not because of mass media or his views on a certain ideology.

I think wisdom, piety, forbearance, mercy, high spirituality, foresight, in depth knowledge of Islam and the ideas of our time, firm brave stance against enemies of Islam, in depth knowledge of our enemies and ability to lead, manage, etc, are among the neccessary traits for the leader.

I think a person must be found to exhibit a very high intelligence and spirituality.

Also he must be for unity of all muslim sects and non-sectarian, for that will lead to civil strife. Non-sectarian not in the sense he doesn't believe in one sect to be true and others wrong, but in the sense he is for working together, uniting the sects in working to promote agreed upon values in society and tolerance for one another

I personally believe as soon as the umma get's the will towards uniting, overthrowing the puppet regimes, and implenting Islam, Imam Mahdi (as) will appear to lead the umma but till then, we ought to work for change and do our best.

As-Salam 'Aliekum,

Essential Conditions:

1. Muslim
2. Male
3. Mature
4. Sane
5. Just
6. Free
7. Competent

These conditions are for anyone in a ruling capacity and of course also applies to the Khalifah. There are some non-essential conditions (such as being from the tirbe of Quraish) that other scholars mention - however so long as the above criteria are met any Ba'yah would be acceptable by the rules of the Shariah.

Wa Salam Allah 'Aliek
