Ok, I'm worried about something. My feces (poop) has blood in it now. This is the second time this has happened, the other time was last week. I'm afraid that it's because of fasting. What do I do?

You have the basic symptom of pyles.

Eat porridge/oats for sehri, eat fibrous foods, plenty of fruit and veg, dont push hard when you for a ****

Drink at least 8 glasses of water when not fasting.

Your body is not used to it thats why.

Nothing to worry about.

Avoid fine and artifical foods, e.g. biscuits, crisps, chocalates and many of the cereals.

1. i dont think it has anything to do with fasting
2. yeh, it could be piles / h(a)emorrhoids / anal skin tags or if worse some kind of ulcer or bowel disease
3. however, you should by all means consult a doc!!! to make sure it isnt the latter.

It may not have anything to do with fasting.

But please, go see a doctor about it.

While I won't discourage visiting a doctor, usually the only way you would see this is if the blood is still red and therefore fresh, so it is not coming from deep inside the bowel system.

If you've had constipation or very hard stool, that will cause problems in the anus area. Be sure to have lots of fibre and water to help soften your stool and the problem should clear up.

Especially if you can't get in to see the doctor right away, change your diet, cut out processed sugars, and fill up on the fibre-heavy, unprocessed foods and that should do ti.

its probably haemorrhoids which is just a blood vessel that gets swollen then bursts. but its best to see a doc just in case. Very rarely it could be an indication of something more serious, especially if you are over 40. (i have no idea how old you are) and in any case the doc can give you something for the haemorrhoids inshaAllah

in the meantime make sure you are getting enough water during the night time and also enough fibre, fruit and veg etc and the above advice mashaAllah

you should have seen a doctor the first time it happened. YOu can be losing blood. It can be internal bleeding.

You will feel dizzy, and you will faint if you do not go to a doctor to get it checked out. Stop being irresponsible and go to a doctor NOW.

YOu dont have to fast... You dont become a hero if you do. Get it checked out

Well before Wolfn gets too worked up about this, I asked my wife (a doctor) and she concurred with that nomoreillusions has already said, which is that if the blood is fresh and visible, then it's actually more likely that it's NOT serious.

But, she said, it's definitely better to go discuss it with a doctor just to be safe. Just to cover the unlikely case that it is something more serious.

Yes, go and see a doctor. If it is hemorrhoids, you need to get them treated because, if left untreated, they can be become very painful.

Do you eat healthily? A diet lacking in fibre can cause constipation and unnaturally hard stool, which could be responsible for the bleeding.

Don't worry, the answer could be as simple as eating more fruit and veg, but go and see your doctor regardless.

Go see a doctor. I don't think fasting has anything to do with it.
