I would go to one of those No name jewellry shops, and ask them, show them the design and see what they say. The branded stores won't do them as far as I know, but I used to work for a little jewellry store and the owner used to take personal requests, you can also look up jewellry designers on the net, and send them your designs.

try any store - brentcross shopping centre has a key cutting/engraving workshop in north London. i usually get anything done by them and of excellent quality. or for brother only try edgware road subway.. a workshop run by some arab bro... i had a pen engraved with arabic.. he did it right in front of me.. made changes.. he's got arabic callig software which the machine operate on so the engraving is pretty much accurate.

...and if its an expensive item.. make sure you get a sample before giving your precious ring... :D
