I wana buy some for family and friends etc and wanted to ask if anyone knows where you can get some.
What I mean by Saudi Abayas is the plain soft flowy material abayas (for women)- not fitted, nor patterned - just plain black, with black minimal design (the ones you can get from Saudi)
If anyone can direct me to some websites or even shops in and around London you'd be stars :D
:jkk:
(any smart alecs who say Saudi - lol I know I know, but my dad's not going hajj for a while yet and need before then)

just plain ones of those u cn sometimes get it even in whitechapel? me and dhakiyya went and found exactly that which u described, bt it was a few months ago. before that, i have been in that stall and he has plain black bt not the gorgette type material (i think thas wat this khaleeji abayahs material is known as? the thin soft type thing) so he normally has plain blacks jst check wat materials are in from time to time.. bt that guy focuses on the short lengths, ie majority will be length 54 and downwards..
Salam, vist 'Arabian Nights' in Whitechapel, it's just after East London Mosque. I went day before yesterday and brought two abayas..they are just all so beuatiful you wouldn't know which to pick!
Have fun shopping!

yeh bt she doesnt use that kind of thin/light fabric though? before when ive been she predominantly uses heavier materials like linen and some brocade stuff etc... unless she has started it later?
her stuff is nice tho masha allah :D but if she starts doing these thinner materials which u find more in saudi etc 2 me thats better, its more comfy 2 wear

Yasmin used to only have that material initially but then people wanted the thicker fabric hence the change but there are still a lot of the styly and material you are talking about but they are upstairs

you should go to somali bookshops inshAllah or ones that are run by algerian brothers (couple near masjid tawheed and behind zamzam in green street) they do the plain ones that somali/arab/other sisters wear. Totally plain, no embrodiary, no other additional colours etc. they do the one piece or the two piece that arab women wear also. I was 2 mashAllah. One from birmingham and the other from a somali bookshop.

It was meant to be a salon girly type thing :vomit: but now has the evening jilbabs and a larger scarf section
The plain ones start from £30 and upwards depending on how much work there is on them.

:salams Though I'm of no help because I do not reside in England, I just bought some abayas that were plain black but had some glittery/flowery designs on them. Never noticed how bloody expensive they are, subhanallah! My mother sells them and they go for around 60 bucks a piece!
girls come to the sisters section. ive posted some pics up ;)

london shops i normally see black niqaabs.. colour i guess ppl probly get it made? or it comes with an abayah and scarf all in a set. Like i had one which was black but with purple lining, cos it came with this 2 layer abayah with purple on the inside, and also i got one white one cos it came with a white abayah. but i havent seen colour niqaabs sold on there own newhere jst pretty much all black.
