Last night i had dreams that my family and friends were possessed by the Jinn and then i was reciting the Quran to them and they were going crazy. Can anyone here know how to interpret this, any meaning at all?

It could mean that ur always gonna be holding onto the quran in ur life. U might have problems in life but ull try and solve them by resorting to the quran.

Black magic does exist, and it is real. I've had experience with it, but it is way too personal to talk about it on a public forum. Thank God Almighty I am cured, although I'm still suffering from some tiny "aftershocks" if you will. Here's something I can tell you:

Learn to recite Sura Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, and An-Nas, and know the meaning too. Also, if there's an experienced person who knows how to deal with these kinds of things, they can help alot. I think they are called "alims."

Don't get me wrong, this dream might be pure nonsense, but you have to know that black magic is real and it exists. The Jinn exist, too.

Most Muslims believe in black magic but many of them sort of dismiss it as a "I don't think it'll happen to me" kind of thing.

It does happen.

Hmm but every dream either comes from Shaitan or Allah. Since the Shaitan are locked up it's gotta be from Allah right?

I heard that one is not supposed to reveal their dreams. Whether good or bad. The dreams closest to fajr time are the ones most likely to come true. Dreams can either be from Allah, shaitaan, or based on your thoughts...
But you know, the dreams just before fajr, are the ones you tend to not remember..

You can't think of it like that, brother. You do not have to believe what I am saying, but all I can do is give you advice. I have had problems with magic, and it has been removed by Allah.

I honestly believe that it is metaphorical wherever it says Satan is locked up during Ramadhan. To me it means that much evil is surpressed during this blessed period, but to say completely locked up is overstating it. If it's true what you say, then there's no way a person can be afflicted with magic during Ramadhan. I doubt that's true.

All I'm doing is giving you advice from PERSONAL experience. Go to an alim if you can find one, or recite those Surahs a couple of times in the morning and evening. It can't do you any harm. In fact, only good can come out of it.

And if I'm boring you or you don't believe in black magic, just type "get lost." My feelings won't be hurt.

No Islam talks about black magic. I do believe it exists and the Jinn do the dirty work for those who set black magic on people, but since they are locked up it cannot harm me at the moment. Also evil only continues because we are used to the habits that the Jinn have set upon us, it is a month where we must do our best to break free from these habits:)

I take it as an insult that you think it is something to laugh about when black magic is concerned. I almost lost my life, and I am still having some problems because of it. It is very sad that you think this is something to "lol @." I personally know many others who have suffered from black magic, or SIHR as they call it... and I only reverted to Islam a while ago.

It is real. If you do not believe in it, I don't see how you can be a Muslim.

As far as dream interpretation is concerned, I think it's pure JUNK. Everybody will have a different opinion -- his own interpretation.

Sister when reading the Quran, don't percieve it as a metaphor like the Bible does, the Quran tells you it clearly. Though as you said Black Magic does exist, the Quran or Hadith (can't remember which) does tell us about dream interpretation.

Shannon, did I quote your post? Or was there any sentence in my post that referred to yours? I just mentioned to the brother, in my own way, that it was not good getting a opinion from people who ain't qualified on the matter, or know the stuff (i.e on dreams).

Now, please stop being touchy. I didn't mention black magic, or read your post, now having read it, may Allaah keep you safe, and me : )

But there are metaphorical things in it, aren't there? I've always argued with Atheists about things in the Qur'an that they take literally, and I take metaphorically (ex: Sun setting in water, etc).

I am not forcing you to believe ANYTHING.

I am just stating my opinion, from personal experience.

Yeah there are metaphors in Islam, much less than you would find in Christianity though.

For example, the Quran and Hadiths say cleary what will happen on the build up towards the end of the world while the Bible says something like. ''there will be a dragon with 6 heads''.

I know you're not forcing me:)
