Assalamu a'laikum my dearest brothers and sisters.

Due to some unforeseen circumstances, the event has been postponed until the next week. So it will take place on the 10th of October.

We are incredibly sorry for any inconvenience being caused :o. Qadr of Allah u know….. can’t do anything about it.

However, there is going to be a very special surprised guest on next Wednesday inshaAllah. We will confirm the next batch of speakers by the coming weekend inshaAllah.

You may still come tomorrow but the talks will be given by our isoc brothers (some of them are top mashaAllah) and this will take place in our isoc prayer room. Free iftaar will be provided inshaAllah.

Those who have reserved their tickets, can you please re-reserve them insaAllah. You may delay it until the speakers are confirmed.

I know QM guys must be like :up: when they hear this. ;)

The new line-up of speakers have been confirmed alhamdulillah. Its Khalid Yaseen and Abu Usamah. ;)

The event venue is Oliver Thomson Lecture Theatre. Its the same hall where our last annual dinner took place earlier this year.

The topics have been changed and it will be confirmed by tomorrow. I will keep you guys update inshaAllah.

The doors will be opened at 4:30pm and the first talk will start at 5:00pm on the dot.

Subhanallah the event was excellent. Brothers and Sisters at City university have done well. May ALLAH reward you all immensely.

Sheikh Khalid Yasin was amazing. I felt that, his topic was truly relevant for the intended audience (young muslims in the west). He was passionate, direct and very honest about the social issues facing us in the west.

Subhanallah, I am so tempted to attend the sister's event next week even though my university is organizing something for the same day. I know, I am a "traitor". But City was excellent. I say, give credit where credit is due.

Overall, excellent and very interesting. My sisters and I had a great time. :up:
