Salaam alikum and Ramadan Mubarak.

Ok, this is weird. A few days ago, I started getting stomach problems. Everytime I eat, I feel like I'm going to throw up afterwards. Either after breakfast (forgot what it's called in Arabic) and Iftar, I feel like throwing up. Right now, it's 10:00 am (I ate at 6:00 am), and my stomach is burning and twisting and doing all sorts of weird stuff. It did this last night after Iftar, and it did it yesterday and so forth. This isn't hunger pains, because I'm still full from eating.

Is this a side affect of fasting or something? Is this happening with anyone else?

erm

maybe its the acid build up dring the day when u fasting..

when u break ure fast..eat a little..have a rest..then eat more. its cos ure bodys not used to a large amunt of food intake..and then when it gets food..the stomach bag stretches..so that and the acid build up..can make u feel like that..

:wswrwb: do u eat more at sahoor and iftar, than u would normally have for breakfast or dinner when u are not fasting akhi ? or are u having more rich/fried food than usual ? Allahu alam try something lighter for sahoor maybe just some dates, yogurt and honey on whole meal bread, and some water, and gently break ur fast with a few dates and water, then pray then only eat until u are satisfied and not totally full insha Allah.

For Suhoor, I usually eat a bagel w/peanut butter, a poptart, and occasionally some cereal (Frosted Flakes) and 2 bottles of water (I'm at college, I don't use cups. :D ). I don't eat cold stuff because I don't have a refrigerator.

For Iftar, hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, rice, ramen soup, noodles, fish, etc (but not all at the same time) and about 2 bottles of water.

I heard a rumor that Poptarts contain pork, so I called the company yesterday and talked with a supervisor. She said that there is no pork in Poptarts what-so-ever.

Therefore, poptarts are halaal, and there was much rejoicing. :banan: @) :blobblue: :coolbro:

No not the first time. I may not sound like it, but I know how to make a lot of stuff. But none of them are Bengali food...

Hugo first tenderizes the meat by sitting on it, then he marinates it by placing it in his Fruit Punch for 2 hours.

keep your meals small bro and eat easily digestiable stuff ie not lots of red meat, your stomach is shrinking and adapting, make sure you drink plenty of water at suhur to see u through the day, remember many new muslims find fasting hard, those brought up as muslim begin fasting half days and odd days at about 7 years old so their bodies gradually get used to it, inshaallah yours will too.

lol there are alot of recipes online, but I'll tell you how I make it.

First you gotta get the sauce, I just buy it from the store(sometimes chunky vegetables) and you have to get mozzerela cheese, and lasgana pasta, and ricotta cheese, parmasan cheese, ground beef, oregano salt pepper etc.

You heat up the sauce and add your own special touch like salt, pepper, oregano, garlic powder, basil, whatever

While doing that you cook the meat in a pan, when the meat has full browned, add to the sauce and let it simmer

then boil the pasta and get a baking dish (glass preffered)

Start the layering process

put a little but sauce first, then the pasta, then the ricotta cheese(try to make the ricotta into a pasta, i mean like mix it really well) then slices of mozzerala, sprinkle with grated parmesan, and keep on doing that until you get to the top.

When you get to the top put it in the oven, 365 degree fahrenheit(don't know what celsius that is :o) ...and I can't really tell you for how long because if it looks done to me, ill take it out. I think its like 1/2 an hour most of the time...i forget tho.

well thats how i do it, I don't really care about the fine details...

ginger is good for nausea, try a couple of ginger snap buiscuts in the morning and ginger tea is good too insha Allah. get some fresh ginger root, peel, chop, boil it up in water till it smells strong enough. strain add honey et voila.

Ginger is also good for digestion. My method of helping digestion is relaxation of the intestines ... stress tends to contract the innards causing digestion problems ... I use "Extract of Noni" ... made in Ecuador ... a great stress inhibitor ...
