:wswrwb:

If it was the 3rd of Novemebr 2008 on a thursday it would be Yawm al khamees, thalatha, nofimbar, alfain wa thamanya

Learning the numbers in Arabic is important to tell the date.

:S :S I don't kno what 400 is but 1000 is alf, 28 is thamnya wa ashroon

Edit:
alf wa arba'a mea wa thamanya wa ashroon = 1000 + 400 + 28 = 1428
(Someone said 400 = arba'a mea, but they are not sure, sorry).

yes 400 is arba mea

1 ramadan can b al yawm al awwal fee shohri ramadan

al yawm al awwal fee shohri ramadan = the first day of Ramadan not Ramadan the first.

I think 1 Ramadan, 1428 = Al Awwal men Ramadan, 'Alf' wa 'arba O ma at' wa 'thamann/thamaneya/thamaneyat' wa ushroun/eshreen.

Al Awwal men Ramadan = Ramadan the first or the first of Ramadan.
Alf = 1000
wa = and
'arba O ma at' = 400
thamann, thamaneya or thamaneyat = 8
ushroun or eshreen = 20

It is OK ( but not good ) to say thamaneya wa ushroun wa 'arba O ma at' wa Alf ( 8 and 20 and 400 and 1000 ) instead of ( 1000 and 400 and 8 and 20 ).

al yawm al awwal fee shohri ramadan = the first day of Ramadan not Ramadan the first.its the same meaning..

Yes it is, but it is not the right way to read/say dates.

1 January 2008 = January the first two thousand and eight, not the first day of January two thousand and eight ;)
