Logic and Mathematica Question #1

Assalamua Alaikum,
Here is one of the many Puzzles/riddles or watever i've colected from class, LSAT preparation tests, etc. People will be notified if there's a prize to be won as a result of the question being answered.
Here is one that i remember which requires more Logic than Math:

1). You have a 3 liter bucket and a five-liter bucket <unmarked might i remind you> and an unlimited amount of water. How can you get an exact amount of 4 liters in total.

In my opinion the right answer should be :
Filled up the 3 litre up to the 2/3 and put this in the 5litre container, then filled up the 3litre again to 2/3 this will make 4litre in all.

the answer is :
1-fill the 3L bucket and empty it in the 5L bucket.
2-fill the 3L bucket again and empty it in the 5L bucket.
now you have 1L left in the 3L bucket.
3-empty the 5L bucket and fill it with 1L you had left in the 3L bucket.
4-fill the 3L bucket.

now you have the 3L bucket full + 1L in the 5L bucket = 4Liters.

Here's another way

1: fill the 5L bottle, and fill the 3L bottle from the 5L, leaving 2L in the 5L bottle.
2: Dump out the full 3L bottle, and pour the remaining 2L from the 5L bottle into the 3L bottle (making a 2L of water and 1L of air)
3: fill the 5L bottle and fill the 3L bottle with it, taking 1L from the 5L bottle, leaving 4L.
