In the name of Allah, The Glorified, The Incomparably Great
Surah Hashr, Surah number 59 will be our next surah insha'Allah ta'3ala as voted by in the last poll. This is the sign up topic, if you want to join the Ummah in learning this surah, please respond below with something like "I want to learn the Quran insha'Allah" or "I want to learn the names of Allah SWT too" or something.
Even if you know this surah as many people do masha'Allah, it is advised to sign up regardless as both practice and as revision.
The reason behind knowing who is in and who isnt is to a) encourage others insha'Allah b) so we can keep a check c) so you know you are dedicating yourself and d) Makes you want to learn knowing others are learning with you
This surah will work a little different to Surah Rahman, there will be 2 ayaats a day but ayaats may be split up aswell as the ayaats can be a little long. By signing up, you are commiting yourself to memorising 2 ayaats EVERY SINGLE day until the surah is finished insha'Allah . 2 ayaats, how easy is that if Allah wills, we can memorise pages of history information for our dunya exams, whats 2 ayaats a day for our akhira exams going to harm.
Surah Hashr is 24 verses long, insha'Alla ta'ala, it will take 15ish days to complete this surah, this is due to the ayaats being split, eg. ayah 2 will probably be split into 4 due to the length. We should be done by ramaadan insha'Allah ta'3ala.
The Prophet :saw: said, 'Whoever when he wakes in the morning says 'I seek refuge with Allah against the accursed satan' and then recited three verses from the last part of Surah al Hashr, will be assigned seventy thousand angels to pray for him until the evening, and should he die that day, he would have died a martyr'[Ibn Ahmad, Darimi, Tirmidhi 5/182]
