Dancing?

Does anyone know if it is ok if a wife dances for her husband, and only her husband? If it is ok, and she refuses, is that bad? I would think it is okay, especially if it is in private and between husband and wife.

im afraid I dont have any fatwas or anything to back this up with but from what I've been taught, yes its ok for a woman to dance for her husband. And if she refuses, well, maybe shes not comfortable? Maybe she doesnt know how to and would feel embarassed? Dont push her into doing something she doesnt want to do, esp if its something pointless like dancing... The husbands got to think about how the wife feels on this subject. :)

Dancing between females only is not haram. So i suppose dancing in front of a mahram is NOT haram. Dont use music just a duff (drums) and you will be fine Inshaa Allah.

If she doesn't want to dance then don't try to force her. Why don't you dance for her, eh?

a wife should do what pleases her husband becuase pleasing him is next to the pleasure of Allah and making him angry is next to the disspleasure of Allah

and obviously a woman would know her husband some men expect they get what they ask for no questions and others may ask only for a drink from his wife not even a meal and she complains to him

if your husband likes something do it and inshaAllah it will have an affect on his heart and he will do the same for you and love you more for obeying him

also i just want to add that just as much as a woman should dress up for her husband and beautify herself for him he should do it for her
