Aslamu alkum,

Here are some things to keep in mind in relation to 'Umra

- Touching the Yemeni Corner and Black Stone remove sins, and keep in mind that by Allah's Permission, the Stone will testify on the Day of Judgment for whoever touched in truth

- Keep in mind that kissing the Black Stone is only during tawaf, and one cannot cause a harm to perform a Sunnah he who leaves something for the sake of Allah, Allah will give him something better)

- Remember that making du'aas during tawaf is without raising hands

- Remember to walk after the third tawaf* around the ka'ba, and cover the shoulder after seventh tawaf* around the ka'ba [Tawaf here means one time around the ka'ba]

- Do not listen to shaytan; if he says to you, "you didn't make wudu", say, "Yes I did".
If he says, "you didn't recite Surat Al-Fatiha", say, "Yes, I did."

- If you leave something for Allah, Allah will give you something better.

- EACH prayer (fard or nawafil) in the Haram (some scholars say anywhere in Mecca) is worth at least 100,000 times more than a single prayer in Masjid Bayaan

- it bears repeating, EACH prayer (fard or nawafil) in the Haram (some scholars say anywhere in Mecca) is worth at least 100,000 times more than a single prayer in Masjid Bayaan

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here are some [I]errors people committ in relation to Umrah, so beaware:

- Some pilgrims cross the designated places of miqat before dressing in ihram (this, my brothers, is obvious)

- Starting the tawaf before the Black Stone, while it is obligatory to begin tawaf from the Black Stone

- Doing tawaf inside the hijr (remember, the hijr is part of the ka'ba, as it was originaaly built, so we cannot take a shortcut)

- Hurting others to kiss the black stone

- Touching the black stone with the intention of receiving blessing from it is a bid'ah; the Sunnah is to touch it or kiss it as an act of obedience to Allah

- Touching all four corners of the kab'a and wiping your face with the ka'ba. The Prophet salallahualaihi wasalam did not touch any part of the ka'ba except the Yemeni Corner and the Black Stone

- Saying specific formulas of supplications for each circuit. The Prophet did not specify any supplications except the saying of "Allahu Akbar" when he reached the Black Stone, and at the end of each circuit between the Yemeni Corner and the Black Stone he used to say: "Rabbana 'atina fi dunya hasanatan wa fil akhirati hasanatan wa qina adhaban nar"

- Raising one's voice above the voice of others (this causes confusion to the worshippers)

- Struggling to pray at Maqam Ibrahim
