View Full Version : The One Who Soaks Himself In Rain
Anas said: "Rain fell on us while we were with the Prophet :saw: and the Prophet :saw: took off some of his garment so that the rain could fall on him. We asked, "Why did you do that?' He said, 'Because it has newly come from its Lord.'"

Jazak Allah for sharing. Indeed it is nice to get wet in the rain...
actually, I don't like umbrellas, it's too bothersome and too much load!

They probably think they might melt:rotfl:

Life itself has been given to us to praise Allah SWT.

I remember when I was younger I used to ride my bike in the rain...and the best part were the currents or whatever they're called. They would go like waves and when it passed over you, it would sting you...but felt good.
Getting soaked is fun stuff.
its raining!!!!!!!
remember to make dua as well!!!!!

Perhaps the Prophet (pbuh) did not understand that rain is purely the condensation of water previously evapourated from the oceans. No devine intervention needed!

No insult intended. I don't think anybody in that era understood the way weather works. All sorts of natural phenomena were attributed to the Almighty, by people of all religions. Humanity has learned so much in the last 1300 years, don't you think?

who is holding up the sky above your head?
so what "phenomena" in your opinion controls death?

so what "phenomena" in your opinion controls death?
1. The atmosphere is a layer of gasses held around the earth by the force of gravity. The blueness of the sky you see is caused by the depth of the atmosphere (in the same way as the blueness of the sea is caused by the depth of the water). It is not "held up" in the sense you imagine.
2. Natural death is caused by the cumulative ageing of tissues to the point there is a catastrophic loss of function. There is no evolutionary mechanism to select organisms for survival beyond their reproductive age.
If you have an open mind, all things can be explained without the need to postulate a God. But this of course does not prove there is no God. Which is why I remain agnostic, rather than atheist.
Glad to be of help.

Who put gravity there (we could be here all night) ,

apologies for my assumption that u are atheist.
What about when someone dies young or when no "cause of death" can be found?
Glad to be of help.
MG,
We could be here all night, but there's no real point in that.
I respect your belief, and I enjoyed today's rain too (from indoors!)
Best wishes to you

Dynamo - has your brain cell left you or was it on loan to you?
How dare you slander RasoolAllah :saws2: Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him - think you're so smart that you're doing it subtly? Your plain ignorance and stupidity is flashing like a neon light.
Your jahiliya is showing.
And slandering RasoolAllah :saws2: Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him and his family is a instant ban - i have reported you, maybe others have too :insha:

death is when the soul leave the body...and it is also when all the organs of the body stop.......every fact in life has two sides...spiritual side and a physical (scientific) side.......because you are one eyed atheist you can't see the full picture

I'm not an atheist!
I'm an agnostic. It means I have an open mind which, I believe, is the greatest of virtues.

Thank you, Islamic Girl. You have taught me much about your faith. If you reflect on your message, perhaps you will understand why there is so much strife in the world between Muslims and non-Muslims. A pity. I had hoped a dialogue was possible.

Let me see if I munderstand your position. Anyone who disagrees with you must be stupid? I do have, at least, the intelligence to evaluate views other than my own with as few preconceptions as possible. Can you say the same?

I knew you were going to do this- put on the 'i'm so much into peace' act- like that cat in shrek- mr puss in boots.
You're a bit of a fake dude- lets face it you slandered RasoolAllah :saws2: Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him and his family - that brings you out of respect for a lot of people here, ummah mods think differently because you're clearly not banned but you should be because you slandered someone who is more beloved to the Muslim than their own mothers and fathers.
Dn't blame the strife on things like this- go have your cup of tea and crumpets with salman rushdie because i've had it with sly people like you
'thank you for teaching me so much about your faith'... what a classic line - bottom line dude is i am not taking responsibility for your jahiliya. End of.

Islamic Girl,
Let's see if we can clear this up.
I'm really interested to find out whether Muslims and non-Muslims can co-exist in my country. It's really a very important question for my future and that of my children.
It's very easy to find a great deal of anti-Muslim stuff on websites like jihad watch. So I come to sites like this to try to understand the other point of view.
Now the trouble is I have a sense of humour. And it is not conditioned by an Islamic faith. This particular thread amused me, and I posted a comment which reflected that. I did not intend to insult the Prophet (PBUH) - by the way, I add "PBUH" to indicate my respect. And very early on, I indicated that no insult was intended. So perhaps you might excuse any unintended hurt, and take my comment in the spirit it was meant.
You may well be able to exclude me from this website. This would only suggest to me that Muslims are not interested in any dialogue with non-Muslims.
But I would have thought it consistent with your faith that you might want a dialogue with a non-Muslim who showed an interest in your religion. Maybe not.
Perhaps the problem here is that I consider all people to be equal, and their honest beliefs to be of equal value. I have respect for your views, but you seem to have none for mine. As I say, I am learning about Islam all the time.
But I would prefer to leave you with a more friendly message.
So I remind you of my respect for your views. And I wish you a peaceful weekend.

Maybe it’s ‘cuz Im having a long day or maybe it’s cuz I’m not in the mood but have you ever sent a text message to your landline and it come sup all garbled or if a paper shredder could speak then it’s make no sense- that’s what your above post feels like.
I am not an insulting person – in fact people think I’m a sensitive kid but when you crossed the barrier and insulted RasoolAllah :saws2: Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him and his family – I lost respect and attention for you so seriously my mind has shut off – I am angry that you said what you said it’s degrading and hurtful to anyone who holds RasoolAllah :saws2: Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him and his family dear  . You can give any excuse but if you wanted to learn did you have to show such malice or was your malice so great it poured out like poison?
I don’t want to spoil sis MG’s thread but I saw something that was insulting to RasoolAllah :saws2: Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him and his family, I reported it and nothing was done- so count yourself lucky that the mods didn’t hold the same opinion as me and left you alone.
Sooner or later i predict you'll be banned because of your insensitive malicious views and i'm sure the mods will remember this thread :insha:

Thank you for the warning, Islamic Girl, I'll try to be careful.
I'm afraid I have to go now and put my feet up in front of the golf on TV.
I hope you have a nice chilled out weekend too.

Dude you don't need a warning from me.
You can go watch golf or bull wrestling - the tads of information are irrelevant.
