Al Ardul Muqaddasa- The Sacred Land
Palestine is once again headline news. However, how many people know the history of the blessed land of Al-Aqsa. Al-Ardul Muqaddasa- the Sacred Land is a two day intensive course on the history of Palestine.
From the Qur’anic narratives the course will cover pre-Islamic history and its significance during the life of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him); Palestine at the time of the Companions, to its fall to the crusaders and its subsequent liberation by Salah Uddin. The course will conclude with an in-depth uncensored analysis of the current day conflict, occupation and the plight of its people.
This course will equip participants with essential knowledge to understand from a Qur’anic perspective why Palestine is so dear to the Muslims and from a political viewpoint understand why its occupation is the biggest injustice in the world today.

lol alhamdulillah im glad i took notes because there is no way i would have remembered such extensive details that were presented by dr azzam tamimi. i have about 9 pages worth of scruffy writing in my notebook. masha'allah an excellent intensive course so far.
unfortunately, the turn out was soooo dismal, i couldnt believe my eyes:rubeyes: and because of it, the organisers moved us from a lecture theatre into a classroom! but it was unbelievable that anyone would want to miss this course. i think everybody went to the hajj and umrah roadshow. there were literally about 15 people that turned up.
todays session focused on the history of palestine dating back to the time of ibrahim (as) until the time of the crusades and salahuddin ayubi. did u know that salahuddin ayubi was in fact reluctant to join the army that was gna fight to recapture jerusalem but was then persuaded by his uncle to join?
im looking forward to tmorrows session i.allah as it will be focusing on the birth of zionism and the current political state of the region. im sure people who missed tday's session would still be able to attend tmorrows session if they wanted to. will post more tomorrow i.allah.

sis dnt feel bad i.allah, alhamdulillah, my wrist was fine on just three painkillers a day and my tubigrip bandage lol, as prescribed.
tdays sessions were really in depth... azzam tamimi first spoke about the jewish faith and then talked about zionism and how it was the whole world that pushed the jews into establishing a homeland for them in palestine because they ddnt want an influx of jews to settle in their own lands.
he talked about how al-fattah was formed and that their objectives were to liberate the land of palestine and through the years took various directions and changed their stance on a number of issues. the US and Israeli corruption that later infiltrated the organisation was an important factor in the popularity of Hamas who proved to be clean and whose sole intention was for the liberation of Palestine. the islamic revival that was occuring in palestine also played a big part in that hamas ddnt care about the money and grandeur of government life, they were working on the grassroots for the palestinian people and believed in their cause. although hamas as an organisation was not well known, it was during the intifada that they really established themselves.
it really was a beneficial course, and the information presented provided the listeners with a better understanding of the israeli-palestinian conflict which is much needed in these times.
the full audio recordings of this course can be purchased in a few months i.allah on www.angelwingmedia.net (http://www.angelwingmedia.net)
may allah reward the organisers of this course as well as brother azzam tamimi for dedicating his time to the course. ameen.
