Assalamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa barakatuhu...
Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) has created man and woman to worship him alone
in all acts. And one form of worship presented to us is the act of marriage. Marriage is a great blessing and keeps one away from unlawful relationships. This small but important project and topic on marriage gives us guidance in order to live a blessed marriage and make sure our marital life runs smoothly.
The rules and guidance (fiqh) presented in this presentation have been compiled by Shaykh Ashraf Ali Thanvi (rahmatullahi 'alayh) in his book 'Bahishti Zewar (Heavenly Ornaments)' and we aknowledge his great knowledge and dedication to Islam. We would also like to aknowledge the hard work put in by those responsible for translating the work from Urdu to English. We pray that Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) rewards them with the highest status in Paradise and that this information being available online in this way will become a means of guidance for those who are married, or plan to live a marital life in the future.
