An interview of a hajii sahib was going on air who has done 25 hajjs almost.
I just want to ask that what is sunnah to perform one hajj or several hajjs.Should we discourage such people who have done many hajjs.May allah forgive me if i am in the wrong.

I would think not. If Allah calls someone back again and again, alhamdulillah.
I say it would be very wrong to discourage anyone going for Hajj.
I need to find the hadith, but from what I remember, One Hajj is fardh, two pays back debts to Allah inshaa Allah, though you should still make an effort to read kazar salaat etc, and the one who performs three Hajj's, no fire will be permitted to burn his hair or skin.
I hope I perform the Hajj again, inshaa Allah, and at the least three, for Allah Ta'ala's benefit alone.

I dont think so it would be wrong to perform Hajj more then once in a life time. Hajj is made Oblegated to do once in a life time ONLY if you have enough money and resourses to do so.

If Allah provides his belivers the chance, will and the money to go back there and preform it again, I dont think so that would be wrong at all.. Hazrat Usman Ghani (RA) preformed hajj every yr. as well.

believe it or not, i somewhat understand what sajeelah is saying

hajj is a sacrifice, its enduring, its pure worship, it is not a vacation

its like someone who makes salat fast, its legal, but what is the benefit?

but on the flip side, the rewards of making it are such that if you messed up 25 times, maybe on the 26th time, you get it right and come back a better muslim

and Allah knows best

But wouldnt it be better if u could give some1 else the opportunity 2 go 2 Hajj, if u urself hve already perfomed it more than once? like helping some poor individuals?

ASA,

I support Ebony's view. If you have fulfilled your obligation by performing the Hajj then what better way to please Allah (SWT) than to pay for someone else to go?

What benefit do you get by perforrming the Hajj 20 times when 18 of those times, someone less fortunate than you could have done it?

I agree with many of your points. If I am able, i would like to go again, and perform a Hajj for my dad. I also would like the reward of three Hajjs so that the fire of Jahanaam will not burn me. But 25 is a bit much. There are people that go again and again, and are still ignorant to the sunnah methods. They still insist on performing their bidah practices. I have witnessed this, and myself and my husband were condemned for speaking up, because it was our first Hajj.

But the question the sister asks is should we discourage someone from going...and to that I say no.
