My auntie phoned up last night saying she was stuck in the kitchen, she didn't lock the door but for some reason the smoke from the food she was cooking jammed the door or the air from outside made it slam hard; so she couldn't open the door at all!
Alhamdulilah she had the cordless phone with her because her 2 children were sleeping and didn't want them to wake up. She called us so that we could phone her husband so he could come home from work and try get in...BUT...she put the chain on the one of the front doors as they live in flats and someone has tried to break in to their flat before.
Her husband was on his way home and she was a nervous wreck listening out to her children to make sure they didn't get up whilst trying to find a way to get out of the kitchen and she used oil and alhamdulilah the door opened!
Any parents here or people who you know who got children anything like this happened to them?
How do you think you can prevent it, of course it is by the will of Allah but maybe a few precaustions can help?
I suggest carrying a key around your neck to them mobile phone holder ropes wherever you are so even if you are locked out your home which has happened to my two aunties too and their kids were indoors, you can get in with ease and not have to pay £100 to emergency services!
Any more tips?
