• Students will be accommodated in fully air-conditioned flats (2 students per room), within a walking distance from the Abu Noor Institute.(5-10 minutes)

• A menu for the different meals will be worked out and discussed with the students before the beginning of the course.

If you are interested or would like further information, please contact Ustadh Mokhtar on mail@arabic4adults.org.uk or at mokhtar42@hotmail.com or on either of the following numbers: 07877 726182 / 0121 772 6583.

I have tried to attach details to my post, including the application form. If it works, alhamdulillah! If not, you can also download an application form the course website: http://www.arabic4adults.org.uk/Syriaprog.asp If that doesn't work, contact Ustadh Mokhtar using the above methods, and he will e-mail you one insha'Allah.

I will monitor this thread until the deadline of 10th July 2007 insha'allah, so you can ask me any questions too by replying.

• Deadline to receive completed application forms and required fees is 10th July 2007.
• The following payments should be sent with the application form:
o One cheque of £390 payable to: Times Travel .
o One cheque of £255 payable to: Arabic4Adults-UK (1st instalment)
o The remaining £255 (2nd instalment) will be collected from the students upon their arrival in Damascus.

IMPORTANT: You need six months remaining on your passport at the time of travel, and most importantly, IF YOU HAVE AN ISRAELI ENTRY OR EXIT STAMP ON YOUR PASSPORT, THE SYRIANS WON'T LET YOU IN IF YOU DO.

From my own experience of going to last years trip too - if you put the effort in, it will pay off insha'Allah.

Assalamu Alaikum,
Is there anybody that went on this trip and could give me details on it? I'd like to know if it would be running again this summer. I have tried sending a PM to the poster of this thread and also sent an e-mail but he has not replied.
I understand there are courses similar to this being offered in places like Yemen and Egypt but is there any that are being organised by a group?
I'd love to go and participate in a trip such as this one and could also get a few names together.

Jazakalah

Assalamu alaykum Sister

I have replied to your PM and apologised for my tardiness - various things meant that I have been unable to log-in to the forums since just before I went to Damascus this summer.

Please PM me for further information. I have also posted a thread on this forum about Arabic courses that my Ustadh and other teachers on the course are teaching around the UK, starting in the next few weeks insha'Allah.

Please find that thread, which I think I entitled Study Arabic - The Language of the Qur'an.
