View Full Version : Umrah
I want to go for Umrah this summer. Who wants to pay for the expenses :D
Whose responsibility is it to pay for a woman's hajj trip? Her own, her husband' s maybe, her papa? I'd like to know.
I forgot to say "inshallah". :smack:
I don't expect my father or anyone else to pay for my Umrah, or the obligatory hajj trip that I hope to one day perform (inshaallah). I can save my own money inshaallah, although I'm not good at saving :( However if someone pays for your trip and gives you maintenance money, does it decrease your reward from Allah because you didn't earn the trip yourself?
I know a woman whose husband performed hajj but did not take ask her if she'd like to go. He didn't take her along, which of course saddened the woman. Should he have taken her? A housewife who doesn't work can't exactly afford to go for hajj can she?

thats a good question. A womans duty in Islam is to maintain the house, that is her Jihad so she is not expected to earn money and perform her Umrah/Hajj (not without a Mahram anyway). If her husband, father, brother pays for her trip, then the reward she'll recieve from performing umrah/hajj isn't decreased (insha'Allah).

It really depends on the financial situation of the husband. If he is financially able to take his wife along, and if the wife has a desire to go then he is obliged to fulfill that right and will be answerable before Allah SWT. On the other hand, if he is not financially able then it becomes a little more complicated. She should pray to Allah SWT and make big intentions, Allah is the Hearer of All duas and the knower of intentions!
Trust me, if you make a strong intention to go, Allah SWT will make a way for you and give you an opening (insha'Allah)...
