Respected Sisters/Brothers - Assalamu Alaykum

I wish to marry a Muslim man who I have known for sometime through work. Recently I have been thinking to convert to Islam aswell, although not because I wish to marry this man. The problem I am having is, I am a single mother (never married) and wish to know if in the eyes of Islam this is permissable as I have read various fourms where the mention of unchaste women marrying a Muslim man is not permitted. I acknowledge my sins and pray that Allah forgives me. Any advice will be appreciated.

When you revert to Islam, all your previous sins are forgiven - We ask ALLAH (The Mighty and Majestic) to guide us all to the Truth, ameen.

All your past sins will be forgiven by Allah once you become a Muslim. Nothing that you did in your past should stop you from getting married becuase it will be as if you have never commited a sin, when you become a Muslim. The unchaste women that Muslim men cannot marry are those you are Muslim but commit fornication/adultery and of course non-Muslim women who are unchaste too.

The prophet Muahmmed's (Pbuh) first wife Khadijah (RA) was a widow when he married her so she wasn't a 'virgin' so it doesn't matter...as as was stated above ^^ when you revert inshAllah all ur sins are forgiven

so inshAllah if you feel you have found the truth make SURE! the reason your are accepting Ilsam is because it is the truth and not for anyone else..because Allah (swt) won't accept it if it's for anyone except for him

by Unchaste we mean someone who is indulging in Adultery ...

If you did that and Repented, and accept Islam (Your Sins are Wiped clean, Clean slate) so your free to marry any Muslim (non-Mehram).

I repeat If you accept Islam and Repent, meaning You Don't ever do any Adulterous act, then Allah Subhana Uta'ala will forgive ya, and no one can hold it against ya.

I hope this ain't Gonna Turn into this go for the 'Virgins' thread...

a Chaste Woman is.... any Virgin, or a Woman who has Not had Pre-marital, Outside-Marital relations, this includes, Divorcees, and Widows...

with regard to a Revert, he/she has a Clean slate to start with, by the mercy of Allah...

basically anyone who is not of a close relative of yours... those you are permitted to marry...(non-mehram)

and those who you can't like your brothers, father, uncle etc... are mehram...
