Pious, loving, sweet, honest, bearded and committed. Good-looks would be a bonus. Ooo and a :nerdbro:

Edit- Someone like me in terms of beliefs! Very important that...oh and someone who can speak at least one of English or Arabic...I can hardly communicate in any other language, but I'm willing to learn.

I got just One Question,

How is it that you expect him to Love his Enemies, when Christ(pbuh) said his enemies aught to be slain? (according to the Bible)

Peace and hi Raziel :)

Um... where does Jesus say his enemies ought to be slain please? Jesus did say to love your enemies...

Luke 6

" 27"But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic. 30Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. 31Do to others as you would have them do to you.
32"If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' love those who love them. 33And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' do that. 34And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' lend to 'sinners,' expecting to be repaid in full. 35But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. 36Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful."

Anyways, a guy who can love his enemies is a very rare specimen... even in Christian circles. Isn't that sad? It takes a lot of strength to do that, strength that only God can give, because anybody can hate their enemies, that's very easy thing to do...

Peace and God bless :)

Luke, chapter 19
-----------------
27 : But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.

if you mean a Guy who wants good for others (that is Love from an Islamic Perspective) then I agree. But if you mean you aught to just go forgiving enemies who cause harm to people left right and centre no matter what they do, then that raises serious issues, like makin all punishments redundant.

there has to be a balance. forgiveness has it's limits.

Oh yeah just to comment on the verse above, If Christ(pbuh) said that, he's entitled to it, cause he came to Guide em by the Laws of God All-Mighty, so he has the right to slay those who oppose that, plus no messenger of God would commit an injustice.

Luke, chapter 19
-----------------
27 : But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.

where's the context? Ahh here it is...

Luke 19

11While they were listening to this, he went on to tell them a parable, because he was near Jerusalem and the people thought that the kingdom of God was going to appear at once. 12He said: "A man of noble birth went to a distant country to have himself appointed king and then to return. 13So he called ten of his servants and gave them ten minas.[a]'Put this money to work,' he said, 'until I come back.'
14"But his subjects hated him and sent a delegation after him to say, 'We don't want this man to be our king.'

15"He was made king, however, and returned home. Then he sent for the servants to whom he had given the money, in order to find out what they had gained with it.

16"The first one came and said, 'Sir, your mina has earned ten more.'

17" 'Well done, my good servant!' his master replied. 'Because you have been trustworthy in a very small matter, take charge of ten cities.'

18"The second came and said, 'Sir, your mina has earned five more.'

19"His master answered, 'You take charge of five cities.'

20"Then another servant came and said, 'Sir, here is your mina; I have kept it laid away in a piece of cloth. 21I was afraid of you, because you are a hard man. You take out what you did not put in and reap what you did not sow.'

22"His master replied, 'I will judge you by your own words, you wicked servant! You knew, did you, that I am a hard man, taking out what I did not put in, and reaping what I did not sow? 23Why then didn't you put my money on deposit, so that when I came back, I could have collected it with interest?'

24"Then he said to those standing by, 'Take his mina away from him and give it to the one who has ten minas.'

25" 'Sir,' they said, 'he already has ten!'

26"He replied, 'I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given, but as for the one who has nothing, even what he has will be taken away. 27But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them—bring them here and kill them in front of me."

You really shouldn't post that without the context you know, cause that would be distorting the meaning. This is a parable. A parable is an earthly story with a heavenly meaning. Jesus is not telling His disciples to kill those who don't believe in him; he is telling them that they need to use their talents well, and the "enemies" are ones that "those standing by" will kill, not mere mortals Anyways sorry for going off topic.

Well I still want that in a partner whether you agree or not :p Peace and God bless :)

I remember you to, now that ya mention it ... :o

a Parable?

this can't be right, because the preceding verses make no indication that it could be in any way...

also when he told his disciples to arm themselves with swords, and one of them chopped of an ear, I believe, your gonna tell me that was a parable as well? :eek3:

if it's an earthly story it must be applicable to him (Jesus(pbuh))

Otherwise anyone can write stuff about killin and say it's a parable...

Heres the Chapter...

And Jesus entered and passed through Jericho.

Luke 19
--------
2 And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich.

3 And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature.

4 And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.

5 And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house.

6 And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully.

7 And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner.

8 And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.

9 And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.

If Jesus was the Son of God, why did He call Himself the Son of Man? [answer]

10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

11 And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear.

12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.

13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.

14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.

15 And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.

16Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.

17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.

18 And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.

19 And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.

20 And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin:

21 For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow.

22 And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow:

23 Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury?

24 And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds.

25 And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.)

26 For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him.

27 But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.

28 And when he had thus spoken, he went before, ascending up to Jerusalem.

I've highlighted what Jesus(pbuh) said in Red ...

it's Obvious that it's refering to Jesus(pbuh). The Parable is about Him, he's the One who commands them to be Slain (His enemies) according to the Parable.

O.k ... :o

Spat? where... :eek3: who spat? :outta:

Just to correct sister Christianlady, I can't Revert anyone, We can only Reason... Guidance comes from God All-Mighty, No matter how Good you deliver the message, the person will Only Revert if God Gives em Guidance to do so...

Our Duty is Only to deliver the Message of Al-Islam, whether a person Reverts or not, we are free from blame in this Regard...

Hope this clears things up.

well obviously attraction is important too. No relationship could last without attraction. Everyones version of attraction differs theres no one single version. Everyones concept of attraction differs

Yea I know :smack:
I meant that some people only go for looks, OR they say 'I don't care how she looks', but they really care a great deal.

Looks are a factor , but should not be the top reason why you choose a partner.

Hope that's clearer.

A man who knows his Lord

a man who brings out the best in me - we all have good sides and bad sides to us, but i wanna spend the rest of days with a man who makes me happy rather than angry and smile rather than cry.

a man with integrity, a spark for life. A man who will love me unconditionally for the woman that i am.

Who will encourage to better myself as a person, yet accept my faults as they are.

a man who will make me laugh - becuz when we're grey and old thats what;ll be important after we both have grey hair and glasses.

hes gotta be taller than me!! and good looking too. With some element of financial security.

Inshallah.....................i'll find him!:hidban:
