Could You Run 10K For Charity?
How fit are you? How do you fancy running 10K for charity? Well this is your opportunity to get fit and help the Sadeeqa Orphanage Trust project by running 10K with us at the BUPA Great Capital Run 2007. The run will be taking place in London's Hyde Park on the morning of Sunday 15th July 2007 and will be for runners of all abilities. Run it, jog it or even walk it. This course will take participants through London's stunning Hyde Park.

oh i would soooooo love to do this but will need a running-friendly jilbab!:rolleyes: i just LOVE running!:inlove: walking is boring!

I done it 3 times for a muslim charity! Aldumdullilah. At first hurts like hell after its a matter of practice :up:

Forget the gym it all about the Park, how often do you see brothers playing football in there long thobes , I should have stretched before I played :(

After Asr, we all meet and play, and some brothers cant be bothered to go home and change so they play in there thobes, we played football yesterday for 4 hours and today we want to play cricket
And the park will play in is isolated from everything

You have a point. Apologies for that sister Nazia.. I love your threads, mashaAllah you raise alot of awareness and you always post about good causes! On a serious note, seriously i'd be useless at running.. but any other type of charity work would be good...

No offence and it was not aimed at anyone is particular but in all honesty I was sickened at the fact that this thread was made in order to raise funds for the orphanage and what it turned into was random talk... Sorry :rant: over! :o

masha'Allah this sounds class, I wouldnt mind doing it WALAKIN..
ukhtee, do you know if you have to raise the money yourself? as in minimum sponsership amount [like other charities do] cos I dont mind doing the running...I just dont think I have the time to collect the donation..*purple faced emoticon*
