did you check the Hadith's?
cause the website gives 2 references of Bukhari/Muslim Sharif, if it's in Sahih-Muslim & Bukhari (I haven't Checked) then it is ...

I'm sure we had a discussion about in the bro's section, between emel and salman
See if we can dig it up...
EDIT: Akhi it gives an incomplete reference to a hadith from bukhari, and a hadith from tirmidhi. If I recall the discussion correctly, the remainder of the hadith is important
Al-Bukhari related on the authority of Abdullah ibn Abbas who quotes the Prophet, peace be upon him, as saying: "Illnesses are cured by means of three things: a drink of honey, a cut of cupping and cauterization. I, however, advise my followers against the use of cauterization."

Thats what I said Akhi, I haven't checked it up, If it is in Bukhari and Muslim then it's fine, and yeah if it's a half or part of hadith then the whole Hadith needs to be read for it to be understood.
This the definition of Cauterization ... to burn with a hot iron, electric current, fire, or a caustic, esp. for curative purposes; treat with a cautery.
I can why He recommended against it ...

I was about 18 when I had it done. A Muslim shiekh did it for me. The reason I had it done was because I had a lot of spiritual problems when I was younger.
Did it work? Erm I don't know. All I remember is intense pain and being bruised. I also had a massive circular mark on my forehead for about a month after cupping, which attracted so much negative looks and comments.
I actually have a cupping set at home, which the sheikh gave to me, and I was hoping to use it on my bro because he didn't expereince the pain that my Mum and I did.
If anybody wants me to do hijama on them, just give me a call. :D
