LOL well in the US there are actually schools to teach the citified folks how to get back to nature :p
Out here you have a couple of options...join a serious hiking club(not one that figures walking through the town park is a hike) and learn from the members or you can jump in with both feet and just hope that you don't do anything fatal before you get things figured out. The third option is to hppk up with someone that knows what they are doing and go on excursions. The important thing is to learn how learn using all of your senses. In nature, the whole world is your classroom...and it can kill you.
The final option would be to find a local search and rescue group and take the courses that they offer. They cover a lot of the does and don'ts of living in the bush.

This reminds me of a poem I wrote whilst I was in school and it goes something like this..

when I was a child I was free
I could run around and play hide and go seek
My parents paid all the attention on me...and i had no responsibilites

when I am an adult I will have my own car..I could go anywhere very far..I would decide where I would want to go and no one could say NO.

But now I am stuck inbetween the two..I have exams in front of me and I am no longer free...(can't remember the rest)

Anyways the point being that feeling old is something that is going to hit us at one stage in our lives therefore which ever stage you're at you should be thankful and appreciate the things we already have :up:
