Assalamualaikum warahmatullah
There was once a tyrant in a samll village near the mountain where Musa (alahisalam) spoke with Allah. A villager came to Musa (alahisalam) and said, 'Oh Musa, the next time you speak to Allah, could you please find out how long this tyrant is going to live?'
As Musa (alahisalam) walked a little further along the mountain path, the wife of this man also came to him and said, 'Oh Musa, when you go speak to Allah, please ask Him how long this tyrant will be here in this village tyranizzing us?'
As Musa (alahisalam) was nearing the mountain, the young son of the couple ran to him and asked 'Oh Musa, when you speak to Allah, would you please ask Him how long this terrible tyrant will be here in our village? and how long will he live?'
Musa (alahisalam) finally reached the mountain and made his way up to speak to Allah. When he came in the prescense of Allah, he asked: 'Oh Allah, there's a tyrant who is brutalizing this entire village. How long will he live?' and Allah aza wa jal answered, 'this tyrant will live fore three hundred more years.'
When Musa (alahisalam) descended the mountain, the man ran to him and asked, 'Did you ask Allah?'
'Yes' said Prophet Musa
'How long is this tyrant going to be here?' asked the man
'Allah aza wa jal has said three hundred years.' said Musa (alaihisalam)
The man then responded, 'There is no Strength and Power except with Allah.'
As Musa (alaihisalam) was walking toward the village, the woman ran to him asked, 'Did you ask Allah?'
'Yes' he said
'How long is this tyrant going to be here?' she asked
'Allah aza wa jal has said three hundred years.' Hazrat Musa said again
Then she said, 'There is no Strength and Power except with Allah.'
When Musa (alahisalam) was proceeding through the village, the boy ran over and asked him the same questions. And when Hazrat Musa told him that the tyrant was to live for three hundred years, he responded as his parents did:
'There is no Strength and Power except with Allah.'
As these words left the boys lips, a terrible scream was heard from the tyrant's house. Then his family ran out of the house, calling that the tyrant had died right at that moment.
Musa (alahisalam) was confused. He asked Allah, 'Oh Allah, You said that this man would live three hundred more years and i've come and told the people. If i am a Prophet of Yours and I tell the people what You have told me, they wont believe in me any longer if something changes like that.'
Allah Al-Azim said: 'It's not for you to question Me. But when you came and asked that question, indeed that man was to live three hundred more years. But when you went down and the man asked you how long the tyrant would live, and when you told him said 'There is no Strength and Power except with Allah' I took a hundred years off the tyrant's life. And when the woman said the same, I took another hundred years off the tyrant's life. And when the boy said 'There is no Strength and Power wxcept with Allah' once more, I immediately sent the Angel of Death to him.'
And nothing can change without the Will of Allah, Al-Azim.
