From what I know, the classes are very intensive...I've registered for it and should be going on saturday insha'Allah, I'm also registering for the summer classes insha'Allah

You couldnt accomplish that in one year.
you can.. soas are teaching the foundations in a year. im sure also if u go 2 an arab country and learn u can do in one year. depending what do u class as foundations, but the general basis of grammar etc u can cover and it gives a solid foundation 2 learn from further so i would say u can do it.
in a weekend only they must be focusing on the most central foundations only?
mayb someone who went can tell exactly what they cover
