the days when I could finish reading a book from cover to cover just for a few days...now I hardly read:o tell me good things you did that u hardly do it now. Hopefully this thread can bring back good memories so u get the motivation to do it again. inshaAllah.

i miss getting back to and enjoying the inner peace that nature brings. i miss snow and trips into the mountains. fishing in fresh water. october up north, autumns foilage. *sigh*

i miss my moms banana nut bread and my brother playing the guitar, forcing me to sing along

i miss dancing

i miss laughing with the girls i grew up with

i miss camping in lake tahoe

I terribly miss UAE :( :( :( where I spent almost my entire life!! :crying: I want to back!! :crying: I also miss my nerdy friends (who were like me)!! I miss the times we used to spend while waiting in scorching heat of about 40C-50C temperature for our exams , laughing, chatting. There is no doubt that I also miss playing cricket on weekends with my friends. I also miss the Muslim atmosphere, the Adhaan, praying with Jamaa'ah in the Mosque. :crying: :(

I miss roaming around Art Galleries, i miss haveing the time to bake cakes and gingerbread men for my nephew and neice, i miss taking solitary walks at 3 in the morning, i miss not doing charity work any more cuz i ddint have time, i miss so many thingz coz i didnt have the time:( bt inshallah all thats gonna change cuz now allahumdulillah i do have the time and im gonna mk the most of it!!!:p

I miss walking on the beach and the sandunes, swimming in the sea, having freinds, going out with freinds, i miss the phone ringing, i miss people coming to visit me and having a full house,i miss cooking for guests, travelling and driving round europe in my car, i miss working and having enough money to pay the bills and provide for my sons, I miss having small children around the house, i miss my aunts and uncles and cousins, and the rest of my familly who dont speak to me anymore, and most of all i miss my best freind, my grandmother who died a year ago. :lailah: My Motivation for all of that is still there, but it is impossible as a muslim woman alone so masha Allah. :lailah:

Miss having the time for leisure - to read books, to go for long walks for hours.

To spend hours sitting on the grass talking to friends

To indulge in simple pleasures, to feel that you had no worries in the world

Miss the company of a few individuals who just fell off the radar..have no idea where they are now :(
