itchy eyes!!

you got kuhl sis, the real one with rocks in it? it works amazing for eye problems. If not, my parents always made us but some heat on a cloth by blowing on it, and then put the heated cloth on ur eyes.

Yes, thats exactly what we did - put a cloth over the eyes and BLOW.

Ok.. well what you do.. is you lie down and put a cucumber slice over your eye...
It usually relaxes my eyes during hayfever.. so it might work with you.. I never got passed the five minute stage.. after that.. the cucumber was half way through my digestive system. :D

maybe the contacts are causing irritation. are they very old? do u sleep in them?

Yeah in most cases it's caused by contact lens solution reaction. If you tell me which contacts you have daily wear, bi-weekly or monthly and tha brand i can tell you which solution you should be using. My dad has a chart for contacts and solution compatibility.

Like gucci said don't sleep with them and let me know what type of contacts your wearing, i can help you. My dad reccommends Opti-Free for the majority of contacts, don't use Renu.

Mmm right try the all the above, seem like good suggestions, maybe u culd try putting in sum Rose water? The reason being when i get itchy eyes my eyes start like burnung up and feel really really hot, the rose water cools them down and within no time im ok! But u must not scratch them!!!

as advised...take your contact lenses out...if the redness persists..go and see your optician

these things are usually multifactoral..so could be a combination of hayfever...contact lens solution sensitivity...over wearing lenses etc etc

itchyness suggests an allergy...and the 'foreign body' feeling you are getting possible indicates an inflammatory response of the eye to the allergan...see your optician and they'll recommend some drops

If it's not allergies and there is nothing in your eye then it is possible that you have somehow scratched your cornea. It feels like there is something in there but there isn't. Another thing could be something that I get from time to time. It's like a pimple on the inside of my eyelid but it's gritty. If you look at the inside of your eyelid and see little yellow dots it could be this. I am sure that there are some drops that a doctor would give you for it but it always goes away in a day or two. The third and final possibility would be a bacterial infection like pink eye or conjunctivitus. Is there any kind of a discharge from your eye?
Eyes are nothing to mess around with...get to a doctor quickly
One final question...do you use makeup? Some eyeliners can cause irritation of the eye(before any of the bros accuse me of anything...I have 4 daughters so remember that :p)
