I have always held the belief that helping a friend is easy, while helping someone who dislikes you may be harder yet, yield the most fruit.
I came knocking on this Ummah's door today and found it closed to visitors.
If I might offer a discussion which many if not most people are dealing with and perhaps in the end one of you may help me understand how I can deal with this same problem that affects me deeply.

IMHO, ... American society has grown complacent, caught up in a material world.
A truly great society is governed with wisdom and forethought, utilizing History as a mentor.
Certainly, Mesopotamia is rich with historical past and that's what perplexes me about President Bush
(along with PuppetMasters Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Pearl, Abrams)
planting the American Flag straight into the heart of Islam. Intentionally fomenting strife between two factions of Islam, stretching back in continuity for 1400 years.
A relatively small band of Muslims who had very little following before September 11, 2001 did not constitute the same level of threat as they do today.
There was no danger of these men forming a strong and far reaching Caliphate Government.
They are opposed at reconciliation between Sunni and Shia sects, which is the neccessary ingredient in forming any Caliphate that would pose a threat to Western Society.
Due to this Presidents actions, that is now a distinct possibility, if all sides elects survival of Islam over their tiny Kingdoms.
Muslims worldwide do not need a catalyst in the form of Usama bin Laden to unite them.
An outside threat strengthens bonds and today the various Muslim Nations have a golden opportunity
to unite under one banner.

Perhaps in 2008, America should look at the candidates resume and find the person who excelled at History in school ?
