alhumdulilah, sumone got me a usb stick :D
its 256mb :hidban:
so what can i do with it?? other than it repalcing my floppy discs (does this mean im in the 21st century now :D)

I lost my USB early this year and i was ssoo upset.. its the smallet usb stick in the world.. limited edition and i bught it form play.com... had to buy a another one..
i just use my Ipod for files and school stuff which holds.......80gb.....:D

yea youve actually been using one? when we bought this comp 2....yrs? ago it had no disc drive so we had to use usb's.....

Been using what sorry? Floppy disc? lol.. i stopped using those a good 5 years ago or so! (i think)... usb sticks are great! very convenient.. just annoying if you encounter the misfortune of losing it!

lol I lost a total of 3 USB stick/drives this semester. I almost lost my fourth but I called the library and told them to hold it for me! lol they are very handy...no new computer comes with floppy drives now.
There is a seller on ebay who is selling 64mb USB sticks for $4.00, thats 2 pounds.

it has a keyring thing toput with ur keys or that thing u wear around ur neck...although no idea why anyone wud wear it arounfd their neck :scratch:

lol i dont know man....i just put them in the computer in school and when im done I probably leave them there. One time I lost it, and I remembered in class that I left it at the computer lab...so I called my friend there, who works there, and he got it from someone who handed it it. lol i lost two of mine, and one of my sister's.
lol I lost a total of 3 USB stick/drives this semester. I almost lost my fourth but I called the library and told them to hold it for me! lol they are very handy...no new computer comes with floppy drives now.
There is a seller on ebay who is selling 64mb USB sticks for $4.00, thats 2 pounds.
3?!? man thats bad.. do you have a back up on your pc/laptop? Luckily i have a habit of backing up my files/documents on my laptop so theres no need to panic.. but i had alot more stuff on the usb i lost.. was so annoying..

u are soooooo 21st century now :up: :D
You can save a lot on there...though 256 may hold you back a bit if you do heavy load saving like I do.
....all my floppies died some time back cos I used to chuck my rucksack around and the disks would crack :smack: I had no choice but to get a USB

you can do alot of stuff with usb stick.
if you like firefox and goto school or friends house where they don't have it installed (and won't let you), then you can put firefox in the usb stick and use it always (and carry around your bookmarks and what not)
if you like linux, you can put a whole operating system like Damn Small Linux or Puppy Linux in a USB stick and boot into linux anytime
you can put games in there like marvel vs capcom, metal slug, xmen vs street fighter, etc by putting kawaks or mame32 in the usb stick and loading games from there,
you can also put your favorite nasheeds, lectures, quran recitations, and videos in there by putting in VLC Media player and the necessary mp3s/videos in the usb stick
if you like openoffice (free ms office replacement), then you can put openoffice in the usb stick so you can edit documents (for school and what not) from any computer that doesn't have openoffice/msoffice like certain library computers which restricts office editing.
and then there's a whole bunch of other stuff...
one thing however..i would never recommend you put anything important like school reports and what not into a USB Stick. if you are the type of person who loses things, then chances are very high that you'll lose this usb stick and all files with it. So it's best to never put in school reports/essays that took you hours to do, in there. Instead upload school files to your e-mail account so it's always available to you. You know the school computers and your home computers will always be connected to the net, so by having them online you can always gain access and if you lose the usb stick then it won't matter as much since you'll still have access to the files.

I live on USB pens, I dont know why you would ever use the floppy disk? You can store Photos on it etc, Ive got the GB one....I need to store a lot!

4GB usb's for $50 in stores now.
