I was thinking about this too some time back.

Living to die has two meanings,

1: a kaafir, he strives to live in this world only to die in the aakhira.

2: a mujahid, he lives in this world seeking martyrdom.

Dying to live has the same two meanings,

1: a kaafir, he fights and dies over this life.

2: a muslim, he dies to live again in the aakhira.

I totally dissagree with you. Non-Muslims place as much value on living and dying as Muslims.
We could sum up by saying some (not all) Muslims live to die, and I would add, what use is this? None at all!
