Outlook receiving but not sending

I'm having troubles with my Outlook receiving email but not sending. Now I contacted Dreamhost and they said it works fine at their end but there are about 10 email addresses from different domains and none work. The email doesn't work on my wifes PC either so I would assume that it was the problem at their end. But the weird thing is that Gmail doesn't work through it either??? Which has nothing to do with Dreamhost.

I'm confused.

check the settings.. outgoing server/proxy settings.. make sure its correct .. if incomming is ok.. then looks like a settings issue.. is it outlook or outlook express
try gmail to your wifes web based email.. see if that works

Sweet I got it working. It was a port issue. I had to change the OUTGOING port to 587 from the original 25

Sorted.

I felt like an idiot sending emails for business under my Gmail account :P
