Summer is a really good time to go...It's warm so it kinda tests your patience in a way and makes you grateful for where you are despite the hot weather.

Been for umrah 3 times Alhamdullilah twice with my family before my brother was born and once when I was very little (about 1 or 2) with my mum, dad n nan - apparently I was very interested in all the cats there at that time :)

I wish when I had gone I had had the sense to realise what an opportunity it was though - we would like to go again and take my brother and it'll be nice to go now having a lot more knowledge about Islam than I did before.

i did my hajj when i was 11year old and then second hajj in 2004, now i am 15 alhumdulilah but i realllllllllllllly want to go again....

Alhamdulillah, used to live in Jeddah for the longest time & we used for umrah quite often but we have since moved to Dammam & the trips r quite less now, once a year or sometimes it has been once in 3 yrs. :(

I used go for Umrah often back when I used to live in Riyadh...Not so much anymore, even though I still live in the Gulf region...Visas have become an issue now.

I did get the opportunity of going for Umrah last Ramadhaan during the last 10 days (spent the 24, 25, 26 and the 27 in Makkah!) and it was absolutely brilliant. Alhamdullilah.

Haven't gone for Hajj though.

Yes. I think it was in 1995, with a couple of friends. We also stopped in Cairo for a few days before arriving in Jeddah, but that was not even a drop in the ocean compared to doing Umrah and being in Makkah and Medina.
