cd rom drive problem plzzzz help me

salam alikum to all brothers n sisters.


i ve problem with cd rom drive. it is not opening and in my computer cd drive is not showing. .. im using win xp and 52x max LG drive.

plz help me where is the problem ..

if its not showing on the my computer place then your ps is not recognising it.. could befaulty cd drive or faulty ide cable or evenfaulty ide slot on the motherboard.
first open pc reconnect all cables
if not working try diff ide cable. or borrow a cd drive from someone and test it

i checked the cables and cables are connected properly. i more thing when i switch on pc during booting it shows detecting IDE drive and then shows primery , none
secondar none


if cable are connecting ok.. then what could be the problem. plz help me

then change ide cables or try diffrent drive.. does the drive light up or eject at all if not then drive gone swapp if lights up ejects but not being deteted then its the ide cable or port
