Ive deleted my recycle bin ...
How do i get it back ...
I basically deleted a file ...
And instead of double clicking on the reycyle bin .. i right clicked and then deleted it thinking it would delete the file in the recycle bin, But instead it deleted my recycle bin :smack: ... WHat now :(, How do i get it back

just click system restore set it to the day before u deleted it and when it reboots... it should come back again insha Allah ta ala...

Ok ... I deleted another file after i deleted my recycle bin.
I found the file in a search ... but it doesnt gimme the location of the file ... It says desktop .. but it isnt on the desktop ...

go start ~ control panel~performance and maintainance , then top left u will see system restore set it to "set ur computer to an earlier time " and follow the instructions carefully and when it shows u the calender set the date to the day before u deleted the files and dont forget to say bismillah before u start anything :D insha Allah it should work and return ur files back again.
fais right click on ur desktop n go to properties look around there and see if it allows u to restore to default or summat??
i aint used vista so im not sure how things r on it :o

There's a program that i think can restore files from the recycle bin...Ultra Windows Cleaner (http://www.download.com/Ultra-Cleaner/3000-2248_4-10386233.html?tag=lst-0-2) <---I think that's the right one...I don't know if it works or not but it's got a option for 'Undo'...Maybe you can try that inshAllah

grab download/burn a copy of OpenSuSE 10.2, insert to your pc, restart, and reformat that sucker to linux.

definitely, but suse is a pretty polished desktop aswell. i just bought a copy myself from ebay (good price). ubuntu been giving me loads of trouble with networking, so i'm hoping suse may be better. i'm thinking of learning python on suse, since everything's more out of the box, and maybe I might have an easier time learning mono after python =]. plus, with the app's in ubuntu ME being less ubuntu specific, i think it would be safe to run em on suse as well? i could always test out the stuff on suse and see if i can make SueME :coolbro:

damn, that's a good deal for blank media then. but the reason why i didn't buy blank media on my own and then burn em, is because my connection here is insane. check this, yesterday i upgraded my ubuntu partition (which i recently installed 2 days ago) from edgy to fiesty. and since i got fiesty, things been really bad. on edgy i couldn't use my local wifi connection but could atleast use someone else's andthe connection was at 100% strength. yet on fiesty, i get 3% strength and very frequent drops lasting anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes.
i know the problem shouldn't be my wifi card because it's a well supported linux compatible card. i mean, i evenpicked up a copy of knoppix 3.7 a few months ago and was able to use that...imagine that. a distro that came out years ago... so basically by buying it, i save a lot of headaches of downloading it and burning it myself. and suse does have a liveCD feature.
as for suse being slow, it's not slow at all. actually it's a rock solid distro. the only download side of suse is that it packs a whole lotta stuff, like you'll get 3 to 4 web browsers on the default install. but it works out because i like having a lot of software sometimes, it makes everything feel complete. nothing gets left behind. and because of that whole lotta stuff, u end up having a 4.7 gigabyte download. but one thing is, if u do a normal install, u don't need all of that. the first 3 cd's gets by, and if u deslect alot of those extra stuff, then u can get by with 2 cd's (like not multiple apps that do the same thing).
about learning mono, well, mono is not a evil thing. mono is based on C# and C# is a immensely popular programming language. and while c# was made by micro$oft, it's not totally bad because it's a EMCA certified language. that means, C# is just like any other language. thats why miguel n crew was able to make mono since it was a EMCA approved language. the benefit of having somethin like this is, you have the ability to write a program on one platform and run it on another, just like java, except mono is alot easier. besides, i love the mono apps (f-spot, tomboy << love this app, beagle, banshee, etc)

Yeah knoppix is amazing. I have problems with xorg with ubuntu (easily solved though). When I boot with the livecd it doesn't work, I just get a command line. Knoppix works perfectly with it though, and I have a ~3 year old copy of it (can't remember the version number...it uses the keramik widget style :p)

Yeah I don't see why suse would be any slower than ubuntu, its just what I heard on ubuntuforums. When I get ubuntu I do end up downloading a lot of stuff anyway so I guess its fair...although I like having just the things I want ;)

Really!? What are your specs?
I'm on a P4 2.83GHz with 256MB RAM (and a PCI FX5500) and tomboy is slow, beagle was a complete hog...don't even get me started on openoffice :torture:
Thats one reason I love sidux...its a proper kde distro, but it is insanely fast, on my computer.
Seriously though...iirc, notepad loaded as soon as you clicked it cos of preloading...is beagle really that fast for you? :rubeyes:
