Same, tiny menu and firebug here.
Download status bar is awesome also, and completely essential: GMail notifier :p
I used to have tonnes of extensions/addons, but I limit them now because I found that extensions slowed down firefox, made its footprint much larger and generally caused weird behavior and more crashes. In fact read that on mozilla's website somewhere aswell

Cannot run firefox without Tab mix plus (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1122) (though have just seen this new one SuperT (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2224) so may try that out...) and Mouse gestures (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/39) both are brilliant
Some of the others I have are...
Pray times (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4270) though I have a bit of trouble configuring it to all the correct times
something similar to this Bookmarks synchroniser (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/14) very useful for me since I use a laptop and comp
and clipmarks (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1407)
My favourites are the prayer times one, tab mix plus and bookmarks sychroniser :)

one more question, if you dont mind
with my desktop, using the center rolling ball on the mouse, if i hold the mouse over a link and click that ball, it opens another tab, automatically
with a laptop, you have to right click, open as tab
is there any way to open as a tab, using one click of the mousepad?

depends on the download manager, but usually you can resume downloads, and you can split the downloads. splitting it means, to literally split the file as it's downloading. the benefit of this is most servers allocate a limit for download speed for each connection, so say if your downloading from a site at 15kbps, you could split the download, and say you split it to 4 connections, then you'd be downloading at 60kbps (15kbps x 4 connections).
i find it useless though since we live in a broadband age and we don't download things that big. it's very useful for downloading big files like linux ISOs, however if one was lazy enough to download a download manager, then one could just get bit torrent and download through there.
I don't know about "e-mailthis page" but you could "send link" from the file menu and it'll send the link of the page you're viewing. If you googletalk or gmail notifier, then you can set the programs to open any e-mail link via gmail, so when you click "send link" it'll open gmail and send it through there...if you use outlook or thunderbird, it works even better.

depends on the laptop. my laptop for example is about 4 years old, and it includes a scroll button (up and down only). if i click a link with that button, it will open the link in a new tab.
if your laptop doesn't include a middle scroll button, then you could alternatively hold CTRL and then click on the link, and it will open in a new tab.

you could do what belal1 said, or you could go to tools>options>tabs>new pages should be opened on a new tab.

Basically you download Firefox (which is a million times better then IE) and you just add little plugins by downloading them. there are so many that there's something for everyone.
I just found this one the other day which is REALLY cool.

A little drop down appears if you are on a site to buy something and there are discount codes avaliable.

Yeah they will automatically install, but you need to restart firefox to get them working. Sometimes you need to right click the icon bars at the top, select customize and add stuff in.

Yeah I had similar problems with the prayer times one...it wasn't very accurate so in the end I just gave up...I always have a tab open with prayer times anyway so it doesn't really matter.
BTW, why do you use tab mix plus or superT with firefox 2+? AFAIK, all the features tab mix plus or superT provide are all available in firefox 2.x+ as default
OK, I gave in with avoiding extensions and I now have the following:
Mouse Browsing (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/879) This one's really good. I really don't like the mouse much, and the ' search functionality is really cool but not enough. MLB is awesome :D (well thought through too)
Speed Dial (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4810) Lets you assign speed dial numbers to favourite web pages, can be configured to appear with thumbnails whenever you open a new blank tab or window. Very cool. (although I found the thumbnail thing annoying and turned it off)
I'll check out stumbleupon, web developer toolbar, bookmarks syncer and the discount one insha'Allah.

I now use:
For safer browsing:
Adblock Plus
CookieSafe
NoScript
For downloading:
Media Pirate
Download Embedded
For simplified usage of firefox:
Download Statusbar
Firefox Showcase
Question: I have noticed some encryption type addons, which apparently stop keyloggers from recording what you type in the browser. Do they actually work?
For example:
KeyScrambler (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3383)
Anyone got any keyloggers who are willing to try out if KeyScrambler actually works?
my new list is:
can't browse without these 3 anymore...
adblock plus
cookiesafe
noscript
download statusbar (very neat)
firefox showcase (because its cool)
minimize to tray (useful for work ;))
tab to window. (because i like to open tabs in new windows somethings)
