Playstation or Nintendo Wii? (if thats what its called)

My cousin wants one and since im nice i thought i'd get him one. Trouble is he cant decide which one he wants, and im not gettin him both. So which is better?

it really comes down to the games, and what type of person your cousin in.

if he's into hardcore gaming, the playstation 3 is a great machine, but xbox 360 is better in most people's opinion because they got the same games (some even better on 360 than on ps3) and it costs a lot less.

if he likes games for fun, doesn't care about graphics all that, and is someone who found the nintendo DS to be a great machine, then he'll love the wii.

In my opinion, I like the Wii a lot more than the ps3, but the 360 a lot more than the wii.

if he wants multifunctional/powerful entertainment machines, get the ps3 or xbox360, if he just wants incredible fun, get the wii. thats what they say anyway...

Yea, I got all the King of Fighters from 94 to 2000, the later ones after 2000 don't work on MAME. I downloaded SVC Chaos: SNK vs Capcom yesterday but it did not work on MAME neither. Garou mark of the wolves is a nice game btw. If you know what emulator is capable of playing the later KOFs, I would be grateful.

My favourite MAME games are definately the Capcom games though, SF Alpha, marvel vs capcom, xmen children of the atom, marvel superheroes vs streetfighter etc. Those games got really over the top visuals and gameplay. Proton Cannon!!

get the neogeo bios and put it in the rom\neogeo folder. that should make most the roms available. sometimes i noticed the roms that used to show up, doesnt anymore, so I tend to leave more than 1 version of kawaks on the system (like for example, I keep version 1.45, 1.43, and 1.56). there's also a hacked version of kawaks made specifically for samsho5.zip

i remember i used to grab the roms from romnation.net and coolroms.net/com (i forgot the actual address). there's also other places. just google the filename and you'll find it.

The Nintendo DS and Wii owned the video games market during April

Research firm NPD Funworld has released video game sales figures for April 2007, which once again belong much to Nintendo. The Wii and the DS continued to be top sellers, with Nintendo’s handheld taking top spot at 471,000 units and the home console selling 360,000 units.

Sony ruled the two spots after Nintendo, though it is the last-generation PlayStation 2 that takes third at 194,000 units and the PlayStation Portable at fourth at 183,000. The PlayStation 3 places three spots below the PSP at seventh, selling 82,000.

In fifth is Microsoft’s only entry, the Xbox 360, with 174,000 units. Nintendo’s Game Boy Advance, with 84,000 units, placed just above the PS3, while the GameCube held sat at the bottom with 13,000 units sold.

On the software side, Nintendo ruled the top four spots with the two new Pokemon games taking first and second. Pokemon Diamond sold an astounding 1.045 million units, while the less popular Pokemon Pearl moved a still impressive 712,000 copies. A pair of Wii games, Super Paper Mario and Wii Play, took spots three and four, respectively.

Guitar Hero II rocked spot five on Xbox 360 and spot six on the PlayStation 2. The Spider-Man 3 games on Xbox 360 and PS2 took seven and eight, while PS2 games God of War II and MLB ’07 closed out the last two of the top ten.

April represented another strong month for the video games industry, pulling in $838.6 million in U.S. sales – a 20 percent growth over the same period last year.

And people are what my kids are. I would never buy a Wii even though I want one and my wife said she does too. Them swinging a Wii Remote around is going to spill some serious claret on the carpet.

i didn't really think about kids, as far as adults messing up, i was saying the problems were caused by the adults who couldn't do things responsibily. for example, the guy who hit his cat with the wiimote, or the other guy who broke his lamp because he was swinging the wiimote too high (?).

but "responsible" adults would probably take some pre-cautions such as making sure there's enough room for each person playing, to move around and not have anything near that could break or get hurt. that is, people like u and me.

as far as kids are concerned, they could easily be taught to take pre-cautions as well.

I downloaded a lot of Dreamcast games from a certain website. You don't need to mod your Dreamcast or anything, just burn the files to a CD-R with DiscJuggler and pop it into the Dreamcast :D
