posting images

I realized that we can't post images on every forum here. I am not talking about attaching, but posting image inside the message.

Is there a reason why?

You mean using the IMG tags right?

Well it was disabled because of trolls that used to post obscene pictures.

but it's not disabled in every sub forum. in some sub-forums those [img] tags can be used whereas in some other it can't..

i can never post a pic..only attachments..i dont know how.

Yeah i know, like it's not disabled here either.

I think it was just disabled in those sections where the trolls used to post.

Well first you have to upload the picture by a site like imageshack, then it will give you a direct link to the uploaded picture then you paste it between the tags like this [IMG]http://up-p.net/uploads/5b4905de21.gif

or like this in steps,

1: open this site http://up-p.net/

2: Click "browse" and find your picture

3: click the button that's written in arabic

4: it will start uploading your picture

5: now it will show you three boxes with a link in each one

6: copy the words in the middle one

7: now you got to post it on the forum, so either click this http://www.ummah.com/forum/images/editor/insertimage.gif button and paste the link there, or alternatively you can hand type the IMG tags, and that is [IMG] then the link that you copied, then [/IG], but just the second one is supposed to say "IMG" too, i just removed the "M" so that you can see how it is.

8: now post your post and the picture will show.
