I wanted to know what other Muslims think about Greek life in universities. I converted to Islam a few years ago and I am from the US, I go to college. I have looked into sororities because I want to make female friends and be involved in the community. I know the stereotype is that associate alcohol and partying with Greek life but I know a lot of people who are members of Greek orgs who do not participate in those type activities still I don't know if I would fit in as a Muslim.... It has been difficult for me meeting other Muslim woman anywhere except online. Even through MSA, I see them at events but that's it and MSA here is mostly men involved. Has anyone else heard of the 1st Islamic-based sorority that was founded a few years ago? Gamma Gamma Chi. What do you think of this? I think it's a great opportunity for Muslim woman to come together while in college and they promote a positive image of Muslim women and Islam. I heard their organization has been growing fast, I just don't know anyone who knows about it. The website is www.gammagammachi.org
