Anything I eat or drink comes out. Has been happening since Saturday night. What food should one eat or avoid when they have diarrohea 2 nights straight?
Causes me to lose a lot of energy and take a day off work.

Sounds like you have food poisoning.
Have lots of fluid and avoid solid food, also its about time you went to see a doctor.

I haven't eaten anything today. My GP does appointments only, and I don't fancy sitting in the practise for unknown amount of time waiting to see the doc.
Is hot drinks OK?

I'll try burnt toast with green tea and orange and lotus flower insha'Allah.
On the toast can I spread flora and blackberry jam? Or is it best to have it completely plain?
If you have the runs, dont eat toast for Pete sake :smack:
Have liquids - such as green tea/herbal tea - until you feel better. And at this rate you'll need to go to the Dr

I'm hungry :(
Don't have energy to make toast and tea, let alone go to the doctor.
Theres this orange drink mixture used to replace salts that the body loses when you have the runs. Not sure what its called, but you get it from the DR :p
Hmm. Try some plain yoghurt. That might help. You're not vomiting as well are you?

Isn't losing salts from your body good for you? I try to watch the amount of salt I eat.
I'm not vomitting, though I felt nauseated. I got yoghurt drinks, if that serves the same purpose as yoghurt.
Not the salts that your body needs. The runs dont help.
Try the yoghurt drinks. Dont know if it'll help you much.

whyy? wen ppl feel sick they are supposed 2 eat dry toast isnt it sumthing similiar for this i thought?
If he has the runs, anything solid he eats wont be absorbed. It depends on how bad it is - but generally if its really bad, then avoid toast/bread/banana's.

Subhanallah, you two are red hot on form today. I'm equally impressed as I am disturbed.
Keep up the good work boys
best diet for diarhea is white rice, apple sauce and bananas. Almost no fiber while providing eloectrolytes and some nutrition to keep your body going

The 2 burnt toast seemed to have quelled the running alhumdulillah, but yesterday evening I had the shivers and had a rough night last night.
I had a jacket on and a blanket and was still quivering. I'm eating a little bit. Very cautious about what / how much I eat right now.

The best advise so far
Bananas, oranges/o.j., and best of all :
strawberries !
Get some Gravol at the pharmacy, to settle
any 'green under the gills' :vomit:feeling.
Imodium is good to stop the runs,
but don't take it, if you suspect food poisoning.
In that case, it's best to just to let it
'run' it's course.
Stay away from all dairy products !
and protein, as beans.
as well as tea's/coffee, just might give you
more :( of the r :dogrun:

You need a 5-10 course of metronidazole. (I don't know the name of the drug in the country where you happen to live.) In the U.S. it's called Flagyl.
Tinidazole, another drug very effective against giardiasis, may be more common where you live.
Please see a physician immediately.

Important to know . . . .
if you have 'stomach flu' do NOT consume
milk/dairy products.
( it will inhibit more bacteria growth/more diarrhea)
Honey is

OY!! that's just not nice...have had that twice in my life and hopefully never again insha allah. I thought I was going to die I was that sick
I was going on this:

As classic presentation of the the highly sulfurous eructation, flatus, and stool characteristic of giardiasis.
(Maybe I'm misreading the "hard-boiled eggs" reference.:D )
The incidence is incredibly high, even in urban areas nowadays.
Also in "pristine" places like rural New Zealand. I have a friend who caught giardiasis by drinking from some "high mountain stream" in New Zealand. (You can imagine what that flight was like from Auckland to Los Angeles.)
