Omar Deghayes: What More Can be Done?

Date: Saturday 28th April
Time: 2pm
Venue: Friends Meeting House

This meeting, with Des Turner MP, has been arranged for activists and supporters of Save Omar to determine the necessary next steps to release Omar. Now that Bisher al-Rawi, a British resident like Omar, has been freed the Foreign Office really has no more excuses. A range of people from Reprieve (Omar legal representatives), Sussex Action for Peace, Worthing Against the War, Amnesty International, Brighton and Hove Muslim Forum, multi-faith groups, Respect, Green Party, Labour Party as well as individual activists will make contributions and suggestions. Abubaker Deghayes, who recently met Bisher al-Rawi, will give his views about what should be done to help his brother.

If you are new to the Save Omar group attending this meeting would be a good way of getting up-to-date about the campaign, conditions in Guantanamo and the British Government’s position.

Please call Louise on 07799 362 884 for more info about this meeting.
