It was really good! and made me feel so bad about how little I do for our brothers and sisters incarcerated! :(

Clive spoke of all the ridiculous things that he has heard at Guantanamo and about Yusuf, a 14yr old boy from Saudi who had gone to Pakistan to learn English and got kidnapped by the Pakistani Intellignce from a local masjid. The fact that two detainees have been on hunger strike for over 600 days straight apart from what they are force fed which is very little! Shaker Amaer whose wife is no longer mentally stable had written a letter just weeks ago asking them if he could die .

Clive stated that we should all do more to raise the plight of those detained as all who had been released was due to mass pressure not the law! For those of you who do not know, the numbers in Guantanamo only amount to 3% of all those detained by the US and the rest remain in secret prisons such as Dieago Garcia and Far Filistin.

Sarah Teather spoke of the ways in which we can make a difference and about Jmail El Banna (as she is his MP) and the fact that his son Anas who is just 10 has so much pressure on him and is so politically active at such a young age when he should be having fun... Subhanallah, Anas really does put us all to shame.

Brother Moazzam spoke of his time in detention and the guilt in which he feels for those he left behind, particularly his close friend from the past Shaker Amer. Subanallah, everytime brother Moazzam speaks of his ordeal, you really can see the pain in his eyes. He also spoke of the fact that the majority have no voice whatsoever as they do not speak Engish and are therefore literally left stranded.

They all said the main thing is to embarass the government as that is what will have the biggest impact! :D

It left a huge impact on me :crying: Apologies if it is a bit all over the place, I didn't take notes and have just relied on my memeory! :o

May Allah(swt) hasten the release of all those incarcerated wherever they maybe in the world. Ameen!

... Ona lighter note, I got the book signed with my own personal message! :hidban:

There are many organistaions and Insha'allah, you can easily volunteer for any!

Cageprisoners (http://www.cageprisoners.com/)

Reprieve (http://www.reprieve.org.uk/)

National Guantanamo Campaign (http://www.guantanamo.org.uk/)

Amnesty International's Close Guantanamo Homepage (http://web.amnesty.org/pages/guantanamobay-index-eng)

Rather then watch on youtube etc, I would recommend buying the DVD itself as profits go to the brothers themselves and such means of 'free view' stop that from happening.

What we have to remember is that this is nothing compared to what happens in Guantanamo and secret detention sites.

Saw her not long ago...alrite speech...seemed neutral, which was good.

She made Liberty seem quite liberal...tlked about how young people should have more rights, with regards to all youths incl asbos n that! not to agreed with that...dont think it'd work well where I live and surely in many parts of London (based on the things Ive seen)..

Overall Liberty sounds cool though!...particularly wih its affiliation to helping those imprisoned at Guantanamo!

An extract of a letter written by Bisher Al-Rawi was read out in a pre-recorded reading by brother Bisher himself, as he was not ready for a public gathering :(

May Allah(swt) allow Bisher to settle back into his life with ease. Ameen!
